VOTW: The Olden Days

By: Steven | December 3rd, 2008

At the time this video was shot, I was 7 years old. I just started elementary school (or something like that), and the Euro ‘92 saw the unexptected victory of Danmark. Some of you may have still been pooping in their diapers, and I was crazy in love with a girl named Jolene. She was cute, had long brown hair, and she hated me. Saw her walking around my neighbourhood a couple of days ago, weighing in at approximately 220 pounds. Couldn’t stop smiling.

Anyway, drifting off. This video, boys and girl, combines all the goals from the ‘92-’93 Serie C1 campaign, that ended with promotion to Serie B and the win of the Coppa Serie C. Too make this all even more special: take a look at the final standings, and try to see of how many of these teams you have barely heard in the last 5-6 years.

Yeh, I honestly think Guana is a gonner come Jan. Let’s rid ourselves of the Guana era. How he lasted this long is beyond me. He must make really good sandwiches for the team or something.

Zola not only wants Guana but he wants Pazzini as well. That’s like killing two birds with one stone!

looking at pazzinis scoring record i retract my statement of wanting him hes merda. guana has to go down as one of the worst players we have ever had. there is no one more useless in this team maybe capuano as well

If he loved palermo he would earn us some money and f*** off lol. On FM09 all the shitty epl teams liek west ham want him .. interesting eh.

Even though we are having another scitzo season its good to see our team pcked with promising young players or guys who are gonan hit their peak in 1-2 yrs .. not full of 30+ overpaid “names”. If we played games in serie a over winter like they do in England like 5-6 games in those 2 weeks .. teams like milan would lose an entire squad though flu and achey old bones.

Pazzini is crap .. he had the world at his feet, when he was under 21 he scored that hatrick for the azzurrini and was looking special. Then he looked like he turned emo and stopped caring about calcio. If we took anyone from the violamerda we should take Osvaldo because he looks class he jus never gets a game.

Floccari would be good .. if you youtube him he actually has some decent skills .. running around players, using his head .. long shots .. also penalty taking. For 7 million euros we really should have signed him this summer. He has already been in sicily with messina. Budan is going to be injured for life and lanzafame isnt going to play clearly.

have u been playing the fm09? The team is pretty shite. Ive found a 4-1-2-1-2 with wingbacks (cassani and balza) being the best formation. almost what we’re playin in real life i guess, except miggs as holding midfielder and no liverani. And my top scorer at end of first season? Lanzafame!!! I just got to end of first season and brought pulzetti and got jankovic back….

    Fozz, I’m playing Palermo too…

    Amelia
    Cassani – Bovo – Dellafiore – Guilherme
Lanzafame – Nocerino – Migliaccio – De Matteo
    Miccoli – Pozzi

32 games in first season, 3rd, 4 points behind leaders Inter.

ah i set my game to no transfer budgets and didnt let myself buy anyone in jan to see how the team would do. I finished 5th, happy with that. Just had to sell balza for £12m to milan, but got in urby from ajax, brought lanza outright and some young juve winger called fausto rossi is RIPPING it up, along with the before mentioned pulzetti. carrozzieri is an animal but PHD and Bovo just play better…. hmm…

zamp aould be smart to hire a guy to put a muzzle on him. we knew that already. I think Miccoli belons with the Azzuri, but I think his prospects of playing time were higher under Donadoni’s (shitty) Christmas tree formation
