Zamparini And The UFO

Crop Circles Bagnaria Arsa

It’s no secret that Palermo President Maurizio Zamparini is wacky enough on his own – from his brash opinions to his infamous tirades. Yet, what transpired on land that he owns in Udine is like a scene straight out of Signs. Yes, Zamparini found crop circles in Bagnaria Arsa.

Now, that is strange enough in its own right. However, when Zamparini was contacted by the media, the real craziness started to appear. Here are a few excerpts from the interview:

When asked what he thinks about the crop circles, he replied, “They are a signal, signals of an entity that live in another dimension. Above us and of which we don’t have a conscience or an inkling of. Signs from above, of other worlds, of things above us.”

The interview went on to ask what type of effect the crop circles on his land had on him, to which he responded with this gem: “A beautiful thing, what I should tell you, I have been…chosen. I repeat to you all it’s a signal.”

He finished by saying that maybe, just maybe, the sign that he believes the crop circles are trying to deliver is that Palermo will finally reach the Champions League next season.

With Zamparini around, it’s never a dull moment is it?

re: Mexes – wages are way too high to even consider it. Plus, he’s banned from Palermo based on his frosted tips alone.

Haha guess he is an emo girl eh kj?

I think we need to find ourselves 2 starting cb’s .. im content with the toothpick romanian as a backup i thought he started to coem good. I also agree about bertolo .. i see no reason at all to sell him .. if anyone from the mid should go away its humus. We need to sign around 6 or 7 players .. i think we will sign alot but we are waiting for the cavani kjaer sale to get it moving. Kinda odd because zampa should have a tonne of money we made him .. So many teams want budan i dont understand why he isnt gone yet .. Clear out the crap brign in some depth and lets get the squad gelled early this year .. no waiting until the last day and signing succi. Talking of succi .. him guana and raggi all came back and nobody wants them :(

We have so many shit players on our books that we loan out i wish we would fuckign sell them .. dellafiore blah .. why loan out rubhino when we could have got money.

The polish cb would be an interesting signing .. sometimes uknowns do well .. as mentioned madrid saw something in him as a kid and he is still young .. that kind of build he has the potential to be a beast at the back .. imagine him and the romanian at cb .. nobody else wins a header lol

Tuttosport had us after tonnes of players Inler, Mantovani, Eder .. why the fuck didnt we sign d’agostino.. let fiorentina trump us to what would have been the best signing of the season for us.

ah well .. slow transfer market for everyone so far.

Palermo won’t miss Cavani, Kjaer think so though. Everywhere is great, except the CB position.

to be fair Giro I think in todays inflated markets maybe Cavani is worth the 23 mil. But say he played for another team with identical seasons to what he did for us and I would feel ripped off if Palermo were to buy him for that price. The kid has great work rate and athleticism, but in no way is he world class.

I agree. Cavani is a GREAT player, and he’s done great things for us. But 23Mil is way more than he’s worth. There’s players being sold for a lot less that I think are more reliable assets than Cavani is.

If our management keeps insisting upon that price, Frankie might have to stay with us after all.

    From Gazzetta…

Piast Gliwice and Poland defender Kamil Glik has signed with Palermo on a five-year deal.

Glik has been brought into the side hoping to emulate the success of Danish international Simon Kjaer, who is close to making a move to German side Wolfsburg.

“I’m very happy to join Palermo, as they are a prestigious club,” the 22-year-old told UEFA.com. “I want to play all my cards here and maybe repeat the succes of Kjaer, who has made his name here at Palermo.”

The Sicilian side finished fifth last season in the league, and have qualified for the Europa League next season.

Glik has already represented his nation, having played five matches for Poland.

Luca – that’s not confirmed at all. I was reading that they were going to unveil the jerseys at the first friendly (against Valencia).

Although, I don’t think those look all that bad. I’m particularly keen on the third jersey.

Did someone say that Bertolo was loaned-out? To who? Have to say, if true, I do not agree with that decision.

LorenzoRosanero – not officially confirmed, but those are the designs that are awaiting approval.

The stripes kit is a reference to the first palermo jerseys.

PF – No, Bertolo was not loaned out last season. Just didn’t play too much.
