Zampa sets the price

By: Steven | October 29th, 2007

Channel 4 had a small interview with Capt’n Crazy today, and the Big Guy had some fantastic news:

“Amauri isn’t for sale and I wouldn’t want to sell him,” Zamparini told Politica nel Pallone.

“It would take a fee similar to the one Liverpool paid for Fernando Torres. I don’t think that Amauri is any less of a player than Torres.

This, boys and girls, that Amauri isn’t leaving unless someone opens up their wallet to wire-transfer 30 million euros to Palermo. Nice job, Zampa!

And Zampa also found the time to make a fool out of those filthy Milan-boys:

“It doesn’t matter anyway because I think that Milan have other targets. Maybe they will go for another Riccardo Oliveira.”

I don’t know. I doubt he’s gonna hold his word, he just set the negotiating bar high. Makes me sad.

Zampa’s right. Torres is no better than Amauri and there is no way he’s gonna let him go on the cheap like he did with Toni. I just hope he sticks to his guns on the price or gets cash and a quality attacking player in return.

Torres is younger but IMO can’t shine Amauri’s boots…even if he leaves for 20-25 and Bresciano goes for 6-8 we can strengthen the squad immensely. Perhaps even get a proper left footed player.

I wish Palermo would go for like a real legit midfielder. Someone like Rafael Van de Vaart or Elano – someone who can change the game. I like Simplicio but he is so damn hot and cold and if he’s not playing well it really affects us. The way that Bosko plays for Serbia, he’s the kind of player who can take us up the next level. Maybe for this Parma game they should start Bosko and let him take the reins as playmaker.

Ricci, Van Der Vaart is not within our reach :) I think we’re gonna need someone from a smaller league, like Holland or France.
