Weekend Wrap-Up
By: kevin | August 13th, 2007
The Bresciano saga takes a new turn as our former UEFA friends West Ham look to bring on the disgruntled midfielder. Weren’t these the same guys that called us the mafia? Anyway, hopefully, they can meet the required tranfer fee and get this guy out of Palermo, soon. With so much optimism heading into the season, the last thing we need is an egotistical, crybaby cancer to bring us down.
The Rosanero won again 3-2 over Itala San Marco but more interestingly, Amauri had his name on the scoresheet. Granted only a penalty, but the Brazilian is hopeful to be ready for the Roma date. Can you imagine an offense spearheaded by Amauri and flanked by Miccoli and Cavani? I’m already drooling.
In other news, it was reported that Palermo is interested in a Flamengo star. Having never heard of him, I found this video. He looks pretty good but where will he fit in the depth chart?

I’ll take a healthy Amauri and Miccoli partnership over any in Serie A, as long as Kaka is playing attacking midfield.

That’s like saying ‘let’s just hope that the rain won’t be wet this year’
