The Undeserved Beating In Garbageville
By: Steven | September 25th, 2008Well, ‘undeserved’…if you take a look at our second half, it is. Altough it is not a shame to get beat by this Napoli-team, it isn’t something we should be proud of. We had the chances for taking at least one point back to l’Isola, but we failed. No worries, this weekend we have the Reggina-game to show that Ballardini is still a magician.
What I Liked:
Fabio is a beast. I like his first 6 months in the rosanero shirt, but I still don’t know what happened to him afterwards. Overfed, overpaid and overrated were just some of the words that came to mind when talking about Fabio Faboloso the last 18 months. Now it seems that’s he’s finally found his talents back. Let’s just hope he doesn’t get injured, because the duo Slow Arab – Ugly Bobby sounds like a disaster.
Caesar looked pretty decent between the posts. Couldn’t do much about the Hamsik-goal, and got a hand to the Zalayeta-shot before the Diver could tap it in. He will have to step it up still a little more, because Jimmy’s lurking for that spot.
And God, I love Moris. He’s the new Materazzi: ugly, untalented, crazy and dangerous. Love it. And to think we weren’t all that happy about his transfer.
What I Didn’t Like:
The Arab. Goddamned…he’s slow, ugly, untalented and ripe for the retirement home. Does anybody know why we signed him?
Bresciano had a brief moment of living up to the expectations again, but oh my, he’s still the same old slacker. Oi, throw another shrimp on the Barbie, you no-good Ozzy.
Pagelle:
Amelia 6,5
Cassani 6
Carrozzieri 7
Bovo 6
Balzaretti 5
Nocerino 5,5
Liverani 5
Bresciano 5
Simplicio 7.5
Cavani 6
Miccoli 6
Ballardini 6.5

Budans scoring record for Parma was 20 goals 50 games. That sounds real deal.

if we are in good place in league in january we should aim for d’agostino or cigarini. but if udinese is in better position gaetano wont come and cigarini will be very expensive

and i forget about budan! when is he back? him and miccoli could be something really special……

Budan is a good foward i really like him he could be lethal with Simplicio and Miccoli supplying him. I’ve been saying forever now that D’agostino would be amazing with us but i just can’t see him leaving Udinese for us unless we qualify for europe and they don’t or we get CL and they get UEFA but that is highly unlikely. And it is impossible to geth im in january. Cigarini is very unlikely to come in january also. We should chase down Drenthe from Real Madrid great player can play across the midfield a lot of energy and gets zero playing time at Madrid. the new Edgard Davids.

just got my new palermo away shirt with nocerino on the back i hope he stays with us and becomes capitano i think he is great player

we cant get cigarini hes only just signed, and d’agostino has signed a new deal. Maybe pulzetti at livorno, I cant see who is really available to buy, hopefully someone will become unhappy at their club by winter. I do think we need a Wide player who can create, but nothing else. I dont want another striker, I believe that cavani and miccoli and budan can give us the goods.

Diamanti + Pulzetti from Livorno, and maybe even Tavano for another chance while we’re at it. And Empoli’s Lodi.

Steven, if 2 of those 4 come I’ll be happier than Miccoli in a razor store.

BTW, back to the top of the table in the fantasy calcio standings. KJ still pretty close too. Romanistas propping up the table.

you couldve easily passed him off to man city
but you screwed him last minute, told him to come back then benched him all last season. Explain to me why he shouldnt be pissed?Posted from

no daniel, you’re wrong…man city wanted to buy “in-payments” thats why the move was rejected

who cares, we would have received all the money for bresciano by now

on a side note, what wingers can we bring in? our central midfield (simplicio, nocerino) is solid but could use a little depth, but we really need some help on the outside

Lanzafame.

i still haven’t given up on Bresciano. I think what we saw during the game against Roma is the true Bresciano. Nonetheless, we still need some help in the midfield.

That left sided midfield position in a 4-3-3 is almost impossible to fill. We are putting a right footed attacking midfielder there when we should have just filled it with a left sided midfielder. Every single player we have put there has struggled at one point or another (Caserta, Simplicio, Bresciano). I think if we play Bresciano in his true position he will do fine. To be honest he could even play on the left in a 4-4-2 because he’s not covering such a huge area. But he doesn’t have the pace to beat people down the wing, nor the tricks. We should have just got Pulzetti, and this wouldn’t even be a problem. I wouldn’t mind throwing Ciaramitaro in there and seeing how he does, he’s got some pace I think.
He did have a shit game, but that’s because he was coming in field to help out with defensive duties. If Liverani pulled his weight I’m sure the Aussie could do some good things, but it’s hard to baby sit someone (Liverani), look for a pass, then that pass is intercepted and you have to haul ass back.

P.S. that 7m on Raggi was well spent. When Cassani was hurt and couldn’t go on, Davide threw on Ciaramitaro. Raggi sucks.

I want to see Ciaramitaro given a chance too, very underrated player and has a lot of heart.

If Budan was fit and playing. He would have finished properly and we’d have our three points. Basta!

I hope Ciaramitaro succeeds he came up threw our ranks. Plus he cant be worse then everyone else.

agreed. budan knows how to finish. The midfield is lacking in creativity, width and pace. Liverani doesnt look the best either. But miggs, nocerino, simplicio, bresciano can all do more than an adequate job. Give the aussie his chance, remember how shit hot he was on his debut against reggina?!

I’m also voting for Ciaramitaro on the left. We should’ve never let Caserta go…

we should have never let brienza go him and miccoli now would be very good but i cant wait for budan to get back
