The Day After: Zampa Not Gone Crazy
By: Steven | March 20th, 2008So…we lost again. To relegation battlers who had to play half of the game with 10. Niiiice! Some Papa Zampa-action was expected, but nothing happened. Here’s a little heads up of what’s going on at the moment.
* Gazzetta Dello Sport has opened a poll to see if Crapolin should be axed or not. Over 2300 people have voted, and 64% said Timidolin should stay. Un’fuckin believable. Bunch of morons. Comments include the following quality-prose:
Zamparini è il peggior presidente della serie A.
Zamparini, vattene dal calcio definivamente, siamo stanchi delle tue inutili sfuriate…
* According to sources on the Viale Del Fante, Timidolin crapped his pants this morning when he saw Zamparini arriving at the club. Reporters said that “the stench was worse than the one coming from a Romanista”.

* With Zampa not firing, the club have decided to take matters to their own hands. As the lovely Kat already mentioned, Stadionews reported that la società asked Assholelin to end things himself. Whatever he decides, he will be fired anyway if we lose the Genoa-game next weekend. Guido esce, Colantuone entra. Also not the best option, but what else could we do?
This is what I expect to happen:

Yeay! Number 18!

Yeay! Number 19!

Yeay! Number 20!

“Get out, you fuckin’ Moron!”

“Ciao Ragazzi. I’m off to coach the Sassari Torres-reserves.”

“Finally, he’s gone!”

“Tell everyone: The Suit is back!”

“Yeah baby! I’ve already scored three goals, and now I’ll be shooting another one in your face.”
* The Offside Palermo has Fed Ex’ed a gift to Guido, to thank him for yesterday’s result.

The problem isn’t really Zampa…he’s given us a whole lot…including MONEY. maybe, if he only picked the right coach, you could blame a portion of this on him.

Any foreign billionaire businessman or retired corrupt politician interested in buying this club?

It’s pretty tough to get a top tier coach mid season. As long as we get our 40 points I could care less if they let Caserta coach the team. As long as Guidolin and Guana go I’ll be happy.
Zampa seems like a good owner. At least he shows some firey passion and wants his team to do well. Definitely a mistake re-hiring the Guido though.

I’m a local billionaire, I suppose I could make a bid, with Zamparini willing to jump ship and all.

Solid post Steven. I know your tumble is better for our Uefa cup push…but I still hope you guys can turn it around.
p.s. Zampa knows there are more than just two coaches out there right?

Sal, we Aquile-teams need to support each other, innit?
I’m just curious what’s gonna happen when (that’s right, when, not if) we lose to Genoa…

anybody else think that it’s kinda funny how the Serie A page is strangely silent after Roma’s loss to Lazio??

so is their page..so I decided to go over there and make a little racket.

actually, KJ, i must say i laughed pretty hard on the one post that says “Where….happens” and you posted “you forgot ‘where scudetto dies happens’” LOL that was pretty funny.
but of course, as i was just browsing your comments, i saw one of them bring me up for some reason…lol whatever.

If I had to make a starting XI out of Palermo offsiders, KJ would definitely be the holding midfielder, breaking legs a la Gennaro Gattuso

I gotta say, this post is by far the funniest I think I’ve ever read on the offside. Every time I scroll down to that first pic of Zampa saying “get out” I die laughing

Palermo president Maurizio Zamparini has revealed he plans to step down.
Zamparini said: “I will remain the majority shareholder of the club, but I am looking for a president who can be close to the team. My statements can create damage to the team, I say that the truth is uncomfortable and difficult to handle.”
Is he becoming sane or what? Jesus Christ, he deserves a medal for stating the obvious.

Becoming sane? No, he’s actually one of the few who actually gives a shiite about this team and how they perform. I can’t say the same for other members within this organization.

Did you drink his kool-aid too? There’s a difference between “giving a shiite” and being totally irrational. I can’t believe there’s someone who defends him. He fires coaches way too often, (How many times has Guidolin been around) and as he said himself, says very stupid things that do not help the team at all. There’s a difference between stating the truth and being a bombastic idiot.

Anyone know if Miccoli will be back for this weekend?

Perfectly exemplified by the fact that Guidolin says he doesn’t even listen to Zampa anymore.

Guidolin is a human piece of garbage, if you’ve watched games he has coached this year you will see why Zampa says the things that he says. Who plays for a draw against relegation contenders when they are up 1 man? Guidolin. Who plays with 5 defenders and 2-3 defensive midfielders at all times? Guidolin. Who has single handedly ruined such an optimistic season? Guidolin.

Aside from calling the whole squadra bunch of sissies, I not sure what are these totally irrational and stupid things from Zampa you’re talking about. Ok, so Zampa may not the most bright or articulate president in the league, but if not his, then whose words or complaints would our coach give a damn about? The players’? The fans’? plz
As for Timidolin, anyone who has been following Palermo games this season, wouldn’t dare take sides with him. He should better start listening to those around him since his blockheaded stubborness has already screwed us over quite a lot.Posted from

The truth is that Guido is no less of an idiot than Zampa is.

I miss Colantuano, which is saying very little of Guidolin.Colantuano at least threw on extra attackers when we needed a goal instead of playing for a draw against fuckign 10 man Parma. a shame he could never get us to play well though the results could have been worse.
