Yeah, that’s right: nothing happening these days! Oh wait, except for the fact that we seem to be failing to sign just one of all our possible transfer-targets. Siena get Zuniga, Samp get Fornaroli, and we get…nothing. It’s just waiting for any news on the Thiago Neves-front.

In the meantime, here are some more rumours:

* Betis offered 8 million for Chrétien. This was a Foschi-connection, so he probably won’t be seen anywhere near La Favorità next season.

* Ciro Capuano is going nowhere. His manager said that he’s not afraid of battling for his place with Balzaretti. If i were Ciro, I’d be shitting myself. Yet again.

* Outgoing possibilities: Buttersfingers to Recreativo, Caserta to Lecce/Parma/Reggina and Miccoli to Benfica. Yawn.

I expect a new signing every minute now:

Well, i dont think we really need another player this season unless we can buy a creative MF of pure quality. I think colly will adapt a 4-3-3 with 2 Wing forwards and a central striker. I think it’ll be
    Amelia
    Raggi, Carrozieri, Bovo, Balzaretti
    Liverani, Miggliccio, Nocerino
    Jankovic, Cavani, Miccoli

If you look at the players we could have on the bench then with Lanzafame, de melo, budan, simplicio… Last season we had NOTHING from the bench and alot of the time ALL 3 of our strikers on the pitch so no one to come on and give us something different. If we sign noone else, i dont think the squad is in too bad a state and i think this unit needs a good season to get used to each other. I believe that Miccoli could the one who brings it all together.

Fozz, I do agree that this year we finally have some competition for the attack. But we really need an experienced midfielder who can bring speed to that part of the field.

I’ve heard Neves is a loose cannon type personality. For their asking price, it could be a big gamble.

4-3-3 with those 3 in the middle is fine, once u throw Guana in there shit will get awful. Plus it’s not a true 4-3-3, Miccoli will drift from side to side to receive the ball anyway.

That what i was thinking Miccoli need to play freely thats y i didnt like it. But if he is gonna free role then i like it better cause he is the only one we have right now who can set up our strikers.

Hey guys, back from holiday…I can see whats happened since Ive been gone, N-O-T-H-I_N-G…(except seeing a few promising stars go to..well, who cares, not us.)

    Two quick thoughts…

Has a great start to the mercato really crashed back down to earth? We need a midfield, as in plural.

If De Melo is half as good as he talks, we’ll have the next big sale…Somebody tell him he’s not the next Adriano, wait errr

Fuck Granoche. We have plenty of attacking force now. We need someone to take control of things in the middle, a new Corini. I think Migliaccio might be able to take that role, but it’ll take time. And we also want someone extra for that left wing, because Caserta (and God knows I love him) isn’t really Class A-material.

lets be honest, caserta works hard, he doesnt want to leave us, and can put in a good cross once in a while, but he isnt going to come upw ith the goods in a big match. Plus, hes one of these “right footed, left sided” players, i cant see how that can work. I dont believe we should buy anymore players, let the current squad have a year together, id be happy with a top 8 finish this season, we were spoilt by the brilliant finishes when we were first promoted, remember where we were only a matter of 4 or 5 years ago. Give Migliccio the chance to boss the midfield and give the gaffer a chance to know the team. zampa has been amazing this pre-season and brought us the players we need AND the one guy we all wanted (marco), lets hope he doesnt lose his cool and rip apart colly after one loss.

Lanzafame on the left, the guy is really good with his left foot. I believe he will start, plus he’s got oodles of pace. We have some pretty pacy players right now. Nocerino = fast as hell, Jankovic = Serbian train, Lanzfame = young lightning. God help us if Liverani and Guana are on the field at the same time, two of the slowest players I’ve ever seen.

Although I’ve seen him do nice things this year, I still believe Liverani is a bad signing. He’s like Guana Senior. I think we still might see one more signing, especially when Dellafiore would be leaving. But for all the rest: we’ll have to wait until the season starts.

It seems like they are waiting for Bresciano to be sold and use that money for the Neves transfer.. That’s my thought any ways. I’m glad Catania is building a competitive team cause I don’t want to see any Sicilian team relegated what would we do without a Sicilian Derby?
