Shame, disgrace, anger, sack him…

Goddamn French Fuck

I can honestly say that yesterday’s game against Juventus was the worst 90 minutes I have ever spent. Every single mistake we made resulted in a Gobbi-goal, we only took 4 shots, of which none in the first 45 minutes. Juve took 20, scored 5. Not bad. Before the game, i think we had a reason to be expecting at least one point against Juve. We did well against Napoli, hadn’t lost in 6 games, and Juve weren’t playing up to their potential. So, what happened then? Let’s see: Pisano, Guana, Diana, Agliardi, Colantuono. That’s what happened.

Colantuono decided to start Agliardi in the goal instead of Jimmy. First mistake. Agliardi used to be a big talent when he played for Brescia, but since he came to Sicily, I’ve only seen one game in which he didn’t suck: the game at the Olimpico against Lazio last year. After his antics against Samp last season, he should’ve been fired immediately. Zampa said he’s gotta go in January, well, consider that comment justified.

Second mistake: pickin’ SuckyBaldy over SuperBaldy. If you can choose between Roberto ‘a good pass? sorry, no can do’ Guana and Giulio Migliaccio, why would anyone not choose Giu-Giu? Result: Guana was a gigantic pain in the ass in the midfield. No attacking impulses, almost every pass ended up in the feet of Juve…

Third Mistake: Pisano. As Ricci said in the preview-comments: ‘I don’t care how bad Rinaudo’s worst game is, it can’t be as bad as Pisano’s.’ Can’t agree more. This man might be a good player for Lecce or Ascoli, but he ain’t worthy of a Serie A-team.

Fourth Mistake: Diana. I went crazy when I heard the news that he was coming to Palermo last year, but recent times have shown that he’s just getting way too old and way too slow. Tedesco is older and slower, but when he gets some playing time he adds something to the team. Aimo the Clown does nothing for the defense, and slows down every single attacking opportunity.

Fifth Mistake: Giuseppe Biava. The dude looks like one of the three Musketeers, and that’s the only reason to keep him on the roster: as a laugh. Picking Mustacho over Rinaudo…what was Colantuono on? Seen his sliding tackle on Nedved? Even Eccelenza-players would’ve had that ball.

Sixth Mistake: the subs. Guana, Pisano and Diana were stinking up the midfield, but luckily we had Caserta and Brienza to give us a little bit of attacking impulses. So what does Stefano do? Take off the only two players who were not sucking away. Cavani: another match of not living up to potential. Bresciano: go and book yourself a one way ticket to Manchester, boy, because I don’t wanna see you around ever again.

We started the game as scared little kids. And if you do that, you’re bound to get an asskicking that will be remembered for a long time. I was sitting behind the TV yesterday, hoping that Juve wouldn’t score 3, then 4, and then the humiliation was completed. 5-0? Shit, that’s a score that you expect when Inter meets Siena, not when two contenders for European football meet. And can someone tell Amauri to stop bitching about getting tackled and start fighting for a ball? Please…

Line-ups:

Palermo: Agliardi; Zaccardo, Barzagli, Biava; Diana, Simplicio, Guana (Migliaccio 76), Caserta (Cavani 46), Pisano; Brienza (Bresciano 61), Amauri

Juventus: Buffon; Zebina, Legrottaglie, Criscito, Molinaro; Camoranesi (Marchionni 72), Zanetti, Nocerino, Nedved; Trezeguet (Palladino 77), Iaquinta (Del Piero 68)

Ref: Saccani

Ratings

AGLIARDI 5: Someone get this kid of the island, please?

BARZAGLI 5: Two huge errors, 2 goals.

BIAVA 4: Marchionni’s goal was his fault, caused an unnecessary penalty, and sucked away for the rest of the game.

ZACCARDO 6: The only defender who was playing a little less bad. Should’ve scored.

DIANA 4: Too old, too slow, too bad.

PISANO 4: See text above.

SIMPLICIO 5: Didn’t seem to get in the game. Lots of bad passes.

GUANA 5: See text above.

CASERTA 6: Best midfielder yesterday, still can’t see why Colantuono took him off.

CAVANI 5: Not living up to the expectations, but didn’t do worse than the rest of the team.

BRIENZA 6.5: Together with Caserta about the only one trying to get trough the Juve-defense. Substituted without any good reason.

AMAURI 5: Was kept out of the game well, didn’t get a lot of good passes and wasn’t able to produce any chances of his own.

Man Of The Match:

Del Piero. 25 minutes, two goals and trying to headbutt Raffaele Palladino.

Great recap. I can say I have exactly the same sentiments about Palermo and the Colantuono reign.
