Round Up
By: Rose | March 9th, 2007As news is coming out quite slow from the provincal capital, here’s a quick round up:
- Foshi has apparently apologised concerning his outbreak against The Ref on Sunday’s game against Messina. According to StadioNews and US Città di Palermo site, Foshi made a public apology at the Centro Educativo Ignaziano di Palermo about his behavior stating that “On Sunday at Messina, I lost control and was justly taken away from the pitch.” Which is nice and all, but anyone else think that maybe, this apology isn’t as sincere as it could be? I smell ultimatiums.
- Our favorite center-back, Andrea Barzagli, who shall now be referred to as Drea and/or Barza, continues to fuel transfer rumours and heart attacks to any Rosanero fans as he states that “My staying in Palermo does not depend on a Champion League spot.” Oi, my heart. It hurts. And just when we thought it was safe to think of him in next years team.
- Cristian Zaccardo, now forever known as Cris or Zacca, is in a desperate need of a haircut, and needs to stop being so full of angst. Although it is quite hot.
- Multiple players from the Primavera squad have been training with the first squad this past week. Here’s me hoping for a Cossentino/Ficano/Curiale/Genosia Serie A debut this Sunday.
- Zampazord hasn’t said anything in the past few days. Weird. However, Palermo are honoring him with a sort of Siclian award for his good and hard work with the province of Sicily, and trying to better their community. I’m sure Zampa approves.
- Unless you’re living in Italy, or have magic powers, NO ONE is playing the game in North America. Not even on delay. Woe. Curse you MilanDerby&Government, curse you!
Alright, that’s it for tonight. If anyone would be kind enough to point me in the direction of adding pictures to these posts, I’d appreciate muchly.

Nice recap, Rose, who will now be known as “Ro” or “Se”.

Seems to me like Zacca’s angst is directly related to Barza’s unsettled future. Maybe when he gets called up for the Azzurri’s next qualifier, Oddo will give him a trim.
Oh and hooray for Pinkie Blogging!

Sam, I’m already known as Ro, as some people are too lazy to pronounce the ’se’.
and Louise, oh, it’s definetly the unsettled future. Oddo does need to exercise his hair-cutting talents, seeing as they’ve probably banned him from doing that at Milan.
ps: Oddo was next to Cris the entire time in the locker room during the WC. Maybe that’s why his hair was so nice.

I’m with you on the cursing the game’s absence from US TV. I plan to spend the weekend smashing small things to make myself feel better.
And see where it says “upload” under the text window when you’re writing a post? That’s how you upload pics, then you pick “send to editor” to get them into the post itself. Hope that helps!

DREA! Stop that nonsense! I’m choosing not to believe a word he says
or I’ll weep. Yep.Dude! The Great Zampa was supposed to be in PA today but he got sick on route back from Brazil! Heh it figures. The only thing that will stem his eternal ire is being knocked out in bed.
Pfff and you know my thoughts on Zacca’s ‘do.

I love our Primavera. They are so cute and squishy.
And you should try living in Australia! I dont think they even know there is a football team called Palermo over here.
Perhaps you should try streaming the game on the net when you cant get it on Tv? That could work…Posted from
