Review: Pink > Purple

Overview:
It has been quite some time since we had a proper review on this website. One of the reasons being that there was nothing to be said about the games, another one being the lack of motivation to rant at the team once more. But after yesterday’s glorious game, we can finally be proud again. The game in pictures:

Don’t you worry, little man, once day you’ll be able to afford your own pair of Bikkembergs shoes…

I ain’t touching that ball no more…

The three points may be leaving Firenze, but this ball is staying.

Don’t cry Adrian, you can’t help it that the wheels on your house go ’round and ’round.

Why isn’t there a young, blonde god trying to make me feel better…?
What I Liked:
The Horny Housewife keeping a clean sheet, for a change.
Miccoli. When you least expect him, he tears up an entire defense.
Roberto Guana. For putting in the best performance of his life.
Big Mo’. He was out for a while, but boy, did I miss this guy.
What I Didn’t Like:
Kjaer’s determination to cause at least one penalty.
Ballardini’s tactics. When you’re 0-2 up with 30 minutes left and the opposing team hasn’t had a shot on target in the last 15 minutes, taking out your best striker for a defender isn’t the way to go.
Pagelle:
AMELIA: 6.5. Clean sheet, but didn’t have to do a lot.
CASSANI: 6. Did well, but didn’t excel like in other games. Silent force.
CARROZZIERI: 6.5. Great comeback, -0.5 for getting another yellow that will leave him out of the Lecce-game.
KJAER: 5.5. Came in, didn’t do well. Should’ve gotten at least one penalty called against him.
NOCERINO: 7.5. Worked like a Jew in a diamond shop. Gave everything he had for 90 minutes. MOTM.
LIVERANI: 7. Remains one of the best players in the team. Really good distribution.
GUANA: 7. An unbelievable score, very good game. Too bad about the injury.
BOVO: 6.5. Had some Tuffo-problems early on, but recovered well.
BALZARETTI: 7. Strong defender, dangerous attacker. As usual. Will disappear against Torino once more.
SIMPLICIO: 7. Great recovery, nice tap in. Let’s see how long it lasts.
MICCOLI: 7. Great goal, constant danger. Too bad he’s got one ugly Che-tattoo.
SUCCI: 5. Came in, touched a ball, showered, went home.
CAVANI: 6.5. Good work, but has so much trouble scoring.
NONNO: SV. Mascot, don’t think he even touched the ball once.
All. Ballardini: 6. Nice starting line-up, but risked a lot by playing Guana. Terrible substitutions.
Giornata 27’s Androberto Guarraciolo Award:
Cesare Prandelli. For being a crybaby about fan’s reactions to the disgusting performance of his team.

ROFL @ jew in a diamond shop. Absolute quality.

-

really ROFL @ Amelia not touching that Mutu penis ball.

Nocerino and liverani were fucking excellent, nocerino just runs around like a man possesed smashing everyone in his way, and then layin off short and simple passes and the arab just sprays the ball around like hes on the playground. Good review aswell. I think a special mention should be made to moris though, he was a 7.5 in my eyes, the last 30mins when we went to three CBs they were chucking the ball forward time and again and he was just winning everything in the air, I swear id love moris to be my dad. never has a man looked so out of place in a pink kit but he is the fucking bollox!

Too bad about the injury.
Who knew any PA Offsider would ever say such about Bobby Gobblin?

-

One of Nocerino’s attributes that impresses me the most is his defensive capacity. He has good sense of positioning, and whether he’s playing RM or LM, he always provides his flank with perfect or near-perfect cover. Take this match for example, look how tranquil our left flank was compared to the right counterpart which Bobby Guana was cover(?)ing. Significant difference. Or remember how our defense got totally ravaged by the Catanese lateral forces the week before without Nocerino.

kat – i was thinking the exact same thing about Bobby G. haha.
However, i was very impressed with the one really nice tackle he had. He not only cleanly swiped the ball while sliding, but then proceeded to get up and dribble 3/4 the length of the pitch into the box and managed to get some sort of cross in. Very unlike the Goblin.
I hate not being able to watch CL football b/c i’m at work.

-

Haha, I had been thinking about saying somethinh nice about Bobby for an hour or so. But he deserved some kind words.
‘Zo, can’t you watch a stream while at work? That’s how I manage to follow the Tour de France and the Giro…

p.s. i went to 6-a-side on sunday night and my team just wears whatever kit we want as we just have bibs, so i wear my palermo home shirt from last year (shame has jankovic 17 on back) but the team we were playing had all got fiorentina shirts and were italian students, presumably from florence studying at birmingham uni, i didnt even need to say anything, i just smiled.

-

Steven – well, I’m sure I could hit up a stream, but considering that I sit right near all the executives and directors, it probably wouldn’t be a good idea ha.

-

Haha
Just take a long bathroom break with a internet cable running from your desk into the bathroom stall. Works like a charm!

I will be enjoying Amauri smash terry and co apart this eve on my new 42″ HDMI 180 TV through my Sky HD box

First time in a while a decent CL performance from an Italian side against an EPL team.

-

Spoken too soon..

-

EPL teams are running rampant in the CL.
Juve fuori. Real Madrid fuori. And I’m thinking tomorrow … Roma fuori and Inter fuori.Oh and did you see Zampa’s take on the UEFA Cup:
http://www.mediagol.it/articolo.asp?idNotizia=24431With that attitude, what the hell are we playing for?

-

I wouldnt take Zampa so seriously he likes to shit talk alot, I bet if we made Europa Cup next season he would be the 1st one singing praises.

-

can you blame him?
