Stadio Renzo Barbera, Palermo

Squad Status

Palermo

Probably the exact same squad as last week, with maybe Biava or Rinaudo returning to replace Cassani in the defense. Still no sign of Micco, who won’t be playing against his former team. Cavani might retake his place up front, replacing Caserta.

Fontana; Zaccardo, Biava, Barzagli, Balzaretti; Guana, Migliaccio; Jankovic, Simplicio, Cavani; Amauri

Juventus

Head over to the cheaters-page for this one.

Probable Line-Up
:
Buffon; Salihamidzic, Legrottaglie, Chiellini, Molinaro; Camoranesi, Zanetti Sissoko, Nedved; Trezeguet, Del Piero

Categorical Matchup

Jimmy vs. Mister 88: Juventus. He ain’t the Azzurri Number 1 for nothing.

The Backs versus Chiellini, I want: Juventus. Have you seen this fuckin’ backline???

Still that Goddamn Guana versus Gayboys: Push. Ours ain’t good, but Zanetti and Nedved might stink things up as well.

Transfer Him Already versus Deadly Duo: Juventus. Gotta be realistic, Trezeken and The Old Guy are going to tear us apart.

Final Analysis

10/12 versus 1/12, place 13 versus place 3, remembering the 5-0 beating earlier this year. If we only lose by a two goal difference, I’m happy.

Last 5 years

25/11/2007 Juventus Palermo 5-0 Serie A
07/05/2006 Juventus Palermo 2-1 Serie A
07/01/2006 Palermo Juventus 1-2 Serie A
05/02/2005 Palermo Juventus 1-0 Serie A
25/09/2004 Juventus Palermo 1-1 Serie A

Prediction

1-2. Cavani, Trez²

MOTM

Jimmy.

Cari Rubentini, do you guys remember?

Steven I think Cudicini would be great for you guys, (Jimmy has played way better than I think anyone expected) but given his history..does he really care about anything?

Sorry for the name change guys, hopefully it’s only temporary. Some guy is pretending to be ‘Anthony,’ capital A and all.

@kat, I hate to say it’s possible, but for someone to get the bidone, Miccoli has certainly a possibility, though, not by his own doing.

Amauri isn’t overrated, he’s just playing for a transfer right now. That’s influencing his game. Barzagli, pfff, the faster he’s gone, the better.

And yeah, maybe we could get some youngsters, but I’d love some experienced new players too. Someone who can really take the team to a higher level.

Talkin’ about youngsters…maybe we can give Sirigu a chance next year? And Emo’tino said some nice things as well: “io prima di essere un giocatore sono un tifoso del Palermo.”

Amauri surely isnt overrated.. He has 13 goals basically on his own. Its hard to score without a midfield. But I will say, his transfer talk EVERYDAY has taken its toll on the team.

Amauri scored 11 so far this season - not 13.

13 in all competitions right, either way - scoring 11 in the league on Palermo without anyone to feed him the ball is pretty impressive. A lot of his goals have been nice runs on his own. (Lazio game, Torino game). Plus if he could hit penalties he would have a few more already.
