Pink Kool-Aid anyone?
By: kevin | August 21st, 2007
If Fabrizio Miccoli is drinking the pink Kool-Aid, so will I. Well, actually I’ve been drinking it since we signed Miccoli and kept Barzagli, but anyway. In a recent interview, Miccoli revealed that Palermo is a threat to steal a Champions League spot. I cannot agree more with the diminutive superstar. Palermo was primed for a run last season until Amauri went down went that devastating knee injury. Are Juve fans wondering why they gave him up for a mere 3.5 mill? Well, I’m sure they will if his preseason goal parade spills over into the regular season. As I’ve stated before, I hope Colantuono uses a three pronged attack with Miccoli, Amauri, and Cavani. He hasn’t used it the preseason, but maybe he was saving some tactical genius for the real games. I understand Cavani is still young and raw, but he is too talented to be watching from the sidelines.
I cannot wait for the showdown Sunday against Roma at the Renzo Barbera. Roma fans don’t seem too worried about the Rosanero, but their squad should. If not, they’ll drop three points. Just what the pink kool-aid drinkers have been thinking the whole time.

I was really nervous a month ago the way Zamp was handling the team, but things seem to have gone better than expected, and I’m more excited now than last November when we were on fire. Orgogliosi del Sud!
