Palermo Offside Fantasy Footy

By: lorenzo | August 25th, 2008

Aight ragazzi…as promised earlier today, I went ahead and created a league on ESPN’s soccernet. I know, I know, I shudder at the thought of using an American based website to run our fantasy footy league, but we’ll see how it goes. If it ends up going badly, we can switch platforms during the winter break.

So, ANYBODY on the Serie A Offside can join…details are after the jump:

Instructions:

Go to this link
Register – it only takes one or two minutes to put in your email and some other basic info.
Register a Team for Serie A (should be obvious)
Create a team name, etc
Pick your team (info is available on the site to explain the scoring and buying)
To join THIS league, find the “mini league” option and click on it. From there, you can join a Mini League.

Here are the most important details:

League Name: Palermo Offside
Password: rosanero

So, invite whoever you want. Anyone here on Serie A Offside is free to join. After all, Serie A is the best league in the world! The more the merrier!

FORZA PALERMO!

I understand what they are think we have one of the top 5 mid-fielders in the world (Guana) they expect him to lock the mid-field down.. Unbelievable how Fucken dumb people can be! De melo isn’t impressing and he is ‘for sale’ mean while Guana, Simplicio are untouchable.

Listening to Nocerino talks makes me think he should def. be the captain he sounds mature and not full of himself. He sounds like a leader. Fuck Liverani he is going to be with us for 1 maybe 2 years?

Guana better not start. That’s all I’m gonna say. It’s gotta be either Migliaccio -Nocerino or Nocerino- Liverani.

ricci, whose the 3rd midfielder? Since we play 4-3-3 which doesnt fit our team at all

I suspect it’s gonna be Migliaccio-Liverani-Nocerino. So stupid since all of them like to occupy the same space on the field, this will be a disaster in the making.

prade, starting XI will look something like this.

    Amelia
    Raggi-Kjaer-Bovo-Balzaretti
    Migliaccio-Liverani-Nocerino
    Jankovic-Cavani-Miccoli

not sure about that lineup, but Nocerino should be in the starting XI every time he’s fit.

ricci – i’d agree except at two spots…I see Carrozzieri taking Kjaer’s place and Budan for Cavani… but that’s only if Budan is match fit…which giving his injury today, means no.

lorenzo, I think Kjaer is going to look down a starting spot by week 5 and I can’t see Cavani or Budan starting over De Melo and Im sure Lanzafame is going to see Alot of time.

don’t get me wrong, i see Kjaer locking down a starting spot as well…but to start off the year, he’ll be taking the field from the bench. TONS of promise though.

This is the line up I see us using towards the middle of the season:
    Amelia
    Raggi-Kjaer-Bovo-Barza
    Ciam-Liverani-Nocerino
    Lanzafame-De Melo-Miccoli

At 18 what can he realistically do for us in short-term I don’t mind picking some one with future talent but we need some other player for an instant impact.

Hamsik eats defensive midfielders breakfast and then snacks on center backs for desert. Kids just got all kinds of talent.

Well me sees Emo’tino’s prematurely return from B.

Napoli won’t let go of Hamsik unless for ridiculous amount of cash.
