Our Boys In Beijing

By: Steven | July 7th, 2008

Pierluigi Casiraghi has named his Olympic team today, and we’ll have some guys up in Ching-Chongland. Antonio Nocerino and, surprisingly, Salvatore Sirigu will be in Beijing getting some weird diseases from either the air pollution or the unclean prositutes. Best of luck boys!

6′7″?!? You weren’t joking. Valencia paid €20 million last year I think, how you think they’d want now?

Valencia paid 15 million for him, and he has a big ass contract. Seen him play a lot at Santander, but lost him out of sight at Valencia. one goal in 17 games isn’t all that good, though. I’m a little sceptic about this one. But hey, you never know what the Serbian duo Zigic - Jankovic can accomplish.

And those goddamn rossoneri inbred cocksuckers are trying to lure away Salvo Sirigu…if we have to do one thing, than it’s holding onto his ass.

Zigic is really, really good. Koeman just never gave him a chance. I would prefer to swap in Simplicio and Banega with the deal but I’ll take what I can get. Zigic would mean Cavani would have absolutely zero playing time probably. He’s an instant starter.

Zigic wasn’t given a proper chance at Valencia. The kid is good. His record for the national team and Red Star speak for themselves.

If we got him, it would mean Cavani would go out on loan somewhere…I would LOVE for Palermo to sign Zigic. I got faith in the kid. Aerial attack anyone?!

For all Palermo fans who might be interested, Amauri is likely to be wearing #8 next year. The rumor is Camoranesi will switch back to #16.

I read some where that Zampa want to get Zigic to fill the roll Luca Toni had for us. Ive been watching youtube vids of the guys and for 6-7 1/2 he can move but signing him doesnt really help our mid-field are they going to focus on that at all this summer? I def agree with getting this guy looks like we can just lob balls up at him and he’ll score all day!

zigic is a fucking beast, peter crouch with skill and power, the price i’m hearing is 8 mil pounds, not too bad. We should have competed for Augusto though, i’m sorry that was a big miss on our part, another miss is that Samp just signed Dessena from Parma, we should have gone for him too.

the bundesliga is shite, why do players want to go there. I dont see the need for Zigic, with de melo, budan, miccoli, cavani, lanzafame, do we really need another striker? I say we build our team around miccoli, de melo is a force in the air so that money could be spent on a QUALITY midfielder, someone like renato augusto, a creater, scorer. And we should of signed dessena, they got him on the cheap aswell :(

Well on one hand we have a lot of fowards, but if you think about it Lanzafame will probably be on one wing, with Jankovic on the other, leaving Miccoli to partner somebody else. De Melo is probably going to need time to settle in a new league so Zigic wouldn’t be hte worst thing. Midfield should be the priority though, but we have Liverani, Migliaccio, and Nocerino and Simplicio we are not as bad as last season already.

Zigic brings alot more to the table than some of the other signees we have. This guy is a monster. Seriously, he was stunted at Valencia, but I can see him rebounding quite nicely with Palermo.

Apparently, we’re waiting for Soler to return from Brasil so we can start negotiating for him. Let’s get it done!

Besides, I’m not buying the whole “we’re done with signing folks”…especially since midfielders will be leaving.

I hate Soler. Such a fat piece of shit. If he wants to put a 10m price on Zigic though, I say we jump on that. We all know Miccoli is gonna go down 3 weeks into the season, and we will need another quality striker. Budan, De Melo, Cavani just ain’t gonna cut it I don’t think. Love to get Banega though.

TMW is saying we have a strong interest in Abate:

According to his agent, there has been some “interest” (contact) on Palermo’s part…

i dont think milan might give up abate this year as we have already sent gourcuff away and we have the worst attacking depth :D. So cant see that happening but with galliani…………….

well you guys have a good attack this year, boriello, Pato, Kaka, Inzaghi, and probably Adebayor or Dinho, also Seedorf, what sort of playing time will Abate possibly get with you?

i see many openings for abate. of couse our team is old and we might see injuries or you have players out of form as well. that was the case last year and abate gives another option for us. and nobody starts off as a starter directly , but with the side we have he wont have to worry about opportunities for a chance to carve a niche for himself. I aM assuming its the same for giovinco at juventus. he starts from the bench with hope that he will gradually progress into the main team
