Stadio La Favorità, Palermo
I warriors, brigate rosanero, siamo forti e vinceremo!
Preview
Do I have to do this? Because I really don’t want to. Everything about this game has got ‘Disaster’ over it. Quality + reborn + good win against Fiorentina versus mediocrity + huge slump + 1/6 against newly promoted teams. Zenga took the blame for last week’s disaster, but don’t expect many changes. The Human Error in central defense is still there, the only thing that will have changed is the midfield. Pastore and Bertolo are being ‘punished’ for sucking against Parma, Nocerino seems to be tired and Cavani has muscular problems. Enter Migliaccio (w00t!), Simplicio (oh-oh!), Bresciano (What.The.Fuck.) and Budan.
It’s not going to be pretty. Zenga already feels the shit being somewhere close to being dropped on the fan. He’s practically sucking Roma’s dicks in his recent interviews:
“Roma are fortunate enough to play in the Europa League, so when there are these midweek rounds they find it normal to have peaks during the game that allow them to win. They have no weak points, as this is a team with great players like Francesco Totti, Daniele De Rossi, David Pizarro, Mirko Vucinic and of course their Coach Claudio Ranieri.”
Translation: “I’m pretty sure we’re gonna lose today, so it’s time for me to make sure Zampa knows Roma are a good team and it won’t be all my fault.” Whatever happens tonight, this is not my coach.
Squad Status
Palermo
Same shit, different day: Liverani and Tedesco out, Cavani as well with a muscular problem. Miggs returns, Nocerino’s tired.
Lots of changes in midfield, which ones will only be certain by the start of the game.
Roma
Don’t care.

Categorical Matchup
Sketchybrow vs. You Sound Brazilian: Push. Sucker v Sucker. Howlers could decide the game.
Zenga’s Mancrush vs. Reject Heaven: Push. Bovo’s hurting us, but luckily the things on the other side aren’t much better. Statistically, we’re better. In reality we’ll have to see.
We’re Not So Sure Who To Play vs. Stronghold: Roma. De Rossi is a beast, our midfield doesn’t even reach his knees when combined.
Biggie Smalls v. We Hate You! Love You! Hate You!: Roma. No chance guys. Only three goals in 4 games, that’s a relegation number.
Last Five Games
Palermo: WLDL
Roma: LLWW
Final Analysis
D-I-S-A-S-T-E-R. Learn how to spell it, you’ll see what it means later tonight.
Prediction
1-3.
MOTM:
Some titsucker.
Remembering the Good Times
Se guardi in alto vedi
c’e’ un’aquila che vola
e’ il simbolo la fede
che sta nei nostri cuori….
Ed ecco siamo in gol
i rosa han fatto gol
la mia citta’ e’ in gol
io vivo per il gol
tifiamo tutti assieme
ed il successo viene con il gol!

I might be in the minority but i think on a dry field we might have played better

I honestly didn’t think Rubinho’s play could be more hideous than his unibrow, but it’s not even close.
Also didn’t think Berlusconi could be more of a horse’s ass as a club owner than as Prime Minister, but I was wrong about that, too.
How about he resign his (corrupt) political office so he can devote all of his rotten energy to his crappy team? Please, for the sake of the country.

Miccoli, Budan and Nocerino were awesome this game. Hope they build on a continue this trend. On to the better team in Lazio and Ballardini

I have no idea what is up with Rubinho. He went from Barney Stinson to Barney Rubble over the season.

Didn’t see any of the last Genoa game but what I’d seen prior to that Amelia hadn’t looked as shaky as Rubinho has tended to look when I’ve had a chance to watch Palermo. Rubinho can look a little spooked or something–or just confused?

i’m intrigued to see roma play palermo on a good pitch. Should be just as exciting, but with a better quality of football

Since Z’s a worshipper of rivoluzione I don’t see why he wouldn’t give one to the GK department. It’s about time we gave our homey-boy Sirigu a fair chance to shine.

Dry pitch=0 goal for us

An exciting match. My gut feeling at 3-2 just knew we would not hold onto our lead. I feel like we’re shaping up to be the Torino of last year which scares the hell out of me. The subs Z made were just confusing.
I’m off to work now so I’ll keep an eye on the blog from the office;)Posted from

Where is Fontana!

@ Renetty:We traded Fontana in the offseason… maybe sirigu will step it up and we could sell off Rubinho and get some zorde out of our mercato fail…

Sirigu is going to be a stud. Idk what is up with Rubinho right now.

A coming of age at Palermo for Nocerino today. He has lifted to the next level and I really hope he continues this way.

He’s been a commanding force all season. I’m happy that (for now) he hasn’t betrayed me after my pre-season love serenade.
Sirigu deserves that starting spot on sunday.

Roma fan here. Good game, laughable game, ridiculous game.
1 point each was not enough, both teams should have been given 3 points for even having to play on such a soaked pitch.
This game can be analysed simply, Roma were far more convincing then Palermo in their attack and going forward. Palermo were far more convincing then Roma defending the ball in their own half.
Kjaer is an amazing player and Palermo would be thankful he has stayed at Palermo, because he is such a classy player for a guy his age.

Correction. Kjaer should be thankful Palermo believed in him enough to acquire his services and give him a go in order to help him develop into the fine player he is.

Yeah .. kinda like with cavani and now pastore nobody else had the balls to invest in these guys what their clubs were asking. We reap the benefits.

so whos gonna be our next coach when we don’t beat Lazio?
Posted from

-

Things I learned from this game:
Simplicio has to start as our trequista. Pastore might be our future but Simplicio owns that spot for now.
Nocerino is going to be good on the right. Whose going to play the left?
We’ve missed Miggy alot.
Rubinho is horrible.
