Moris…

By: Steven | April 23rd, 2009

This was supposed to be a preview for the milan-game. Instead, it’s a sad post about one of Serie A’s most talented defenders fucking up badly. As this is written in bed from my iPod, i’m nor gonna make this as long one. I’m just sad and heartbroken…

Fucking sucks. I know people who have lost big things in there life just for a night of fun.

I have to be a little angry at someone who can’t get their priorities straight.

this is worse than losing foschi, losing amauri, keeping guana, seeing succis face, seeing nono on the pitch, this is the worst part of our season. im a 22 yr old electrician, i take cocaine as my life will never amount to nothing, he is a wonderful footballer whom so many people would give anything to have his talent and brute strength. what a complete idiot. zampa will sack him.

For me, nothing beats Genio’s sudden departure – the saddest moment in my brief history of Rosanero fandom. I had to abstain from all calcio-related media including papers and websites for that entire week.
Anyhow this leaves me upset and mortified.

Zamparini says he’ll do his best to help him out whether it be to aid in his defence if he pleads innocence or to foster recovery if he has indulged.

Good to see that Zamparini standing by our man.

yeh i like how Zampa is standing by him. Half the Serie A prob does coke once in a while, it just sucks to see big ol Morris be stupid and get caught. oh well.

When Lorenzo posted Clamoroso: Moris tested positive for cocaine I went down laughing. Is it really a surprise? He would be among the 1st I would test if I wanted to catch someone.

Thing is, guy isn’t even a habitual crackhead. He already had 3 more controls this season, all coming out clean. But then this dufus decides to get stoned in a wild night out 2 days before the match ‘cuz he never got caught redhanded before? Incredible. How dumb can you be, really.

Mediagol has suggested Atalanta centerbacks Leonardo Talamonti and Thomas Manfredini as possible candidates for Moris’ replacement. Doesn’t sound like such a bad idea, the latter in particular since he’s Italian. Both guys are proven solid defenders and younger than Moris, not to mention Atalanta defense has conceded less than ours.

And for the love of god no Zaccardo-bis please. Thanks for the memories man but let’s just leave it at that. Tell me how often you see struggling or has-been players’ U-turn works out.

So, the day after. This thing has learned me that I’m way to emotionally bonded with this team.

Kat has been hitting the nail on the head, but I don’t agree with the rescinding his contract. Moris did something no professional should ever do, but he’s still human. I mean, you and I probably also did some stupid stuff that we regretted later, but this is just human.

Zampa’s doing a great job not dropping Moris, but we really need someone to replace The Beast if shit goes horribly wrong. I mean, two years for a guy pushing thirty, that’s the end of your career you’re looking at. I just hope he gets the Borriello-treatment, and not the Flachi-one.

Oh, and this isn’t as worse as the Corini-case. That one really had me crying. Here, it’s all Big Boy’s fault, Corini was Zampa’s.

Recidivous or not, the verdict for sniffing is fixed at 2-year suspension and chances of reducing the duration to a considerable margin is very slim to none, as we can see from the latest case of Mark Iuliano(24 to 22mths). Let’s face it, guy is almost 30, and if he admits he took substance thus the court decides to rule him out for 2 years then the club will have no choice but release him.
I’m not trying to be a moralizer. What players do in their private lives is little of my interest. I could care less whether you established a harem at your place or own a coke plantation down in Colombia – as long as it doesn’t affect your job and colleagues. In this case it has.
Say one of your employees do up during the weekend and pass out and in cosequently fail to show up at your workplace then tries to excuse himself by arguing it was just one-time thing. What would you do in the boss’ place?
