Monday Mercato Madness

By: Steven | May 26th, 2008

Man, I love silly season. A little round-up of what the papers have been saying this weekend.

* We’re still hunting for attackers. According to TMW, we’re after Triestina-striker Granoche.

He looks goddamn ugly, but he managed 24 goals in 41 games in Serie B. To get him to Palermo, Primavera-striker Davis Curiale might be shipped off to Trieste. Curiale is also wanted by Bari and Bologna.

* Bologna also wants Federico Agliardi. Nice, get him off the island as soon as possible.

* The Liverani-transfer should come to a close today, Floccari might be a Palermitano later this week.

* Zamp and Fioremerda have an agreement over Cocksuckzagli. Now it’s time for the little fairy to discuss money.

* Later today, Cristian Abbiati may be announced as our new keeper. Atletico wants 1.5 million, Zampa wants to give it. Possible successor of Abbiati in Madrid: Marco Amelia.

* More suckers moving out: Napoli and Man Shitty both want Baldy Bresciano. Do you guys want some panelle with that?

* The ‘Foggia for Cavani’-rumours are getting louder and louder. I say we do it.

* Reggina-president Foti has decided to start being an asshole. He said he might let Salvo Aronica move to Palermo, but only if Ciccio Brienza can stay in Reggio Calabria. Hmm…

That’s all for today guys, enjoy!

Send Amauri to Real Madrid and demand Ruben de la Red in return. Awesome central midfielder who probably won’t even feature for them much this year. Or send him to Valencia and ask for Ever “Masturbator” Banega or the kid Sunny. Both very good players. I would love to keep Amauri but his sale will help us rebuild this team so in 2-3 years we can realistically look at a top 4 finish. Everyone is gonna get better except for us if we don’t do this deal. Either that or send Barzagli to Munich to join his money grubbing friend Luca T.

We ain’t sellin’ to Milan. Period. Me and the Capt’n would rather break his kneecaps than send him to those bastards.

    Other news:
Fafuzagli to Germany! Things are over between Barzagli and Violamerda, and he’s gonna join his buddy Zacco in Wolfs.
Meanwhile, Foschi has denied that we’ve signed Abbiati.

Just saw the Azzurini-game against Japan. Pellé is the new Carracciolo. Abate is fantastic, but we already have Jankovic on that position.

That Bocchetti-kid is also very good.

Pelle…what a miss! The only thing he can seem to do is bring the ball down and hold it up. Well, that’s 1 more thing than Carracciolo can do. Abate is an absolute speed demon. Bocchetti impressed me a lot. De Silvestri was fantastic playing LB. Nocerino was pretty good, got involved a lot. He really is the new Gattuso. Kid just needs to learn to win the ball and pass it off, not try and do too much. Lanzafame had a poor game, barely got involved and was taken off. Still a big talent, just a fucking prick.

Steven did you Giovinco just breaking people’s lower bodies in half with those ridiculous runs. Kid has just the sickest amount of talent.

Abbiati denied the link to Palermo as well. Foschi then followed it up with the fact that they’ve talked to Abbiati just like they’ve talked to Amelia and others. It’s still too early.

So, Barzagli got pissed after Corvino said that Fiore-merda’s defense was basically fine with or without Barza and that he ain’t losing sleep over it. So, Andrea bounced to Wolfsburg + a significant pay increase…Good luck to him and Zaccardo.

Foschi’s still hammering away for Floccari…the only way that it’s a good thing is if we get rid of the turd burglar…

And, ricci, if we’re talking Valencia…how about a Villa-Amauri swap! lol…i know, impossible, plus Villa is already gone as it is. Still, love that guy.

Anyone else see Dellafiore’s comments as well? He said if he had to choose, he’d stay at Palermo 2 (Torino)… C’mon dude, you’re disappointing me…

    Shame.

And Ricci, Giovinco (or Zovinso as my Dutch commentator was putting it) was tearing up the Japanese. Too bad he looks like a 3-year old.

Bocchetti did really well, great PK as well. Someone (yeah Foschi, that’s you I’m looking at) should get his ass out of Frosinone asap.

fuck dellafiore, he aint that good anyway. We should w/o a doubt be chasing after abate, jankovic is leaving next year so lets get his replacement now to get him ready. plus jankovic can use some competition.

but guys i am worried, we need a completely new defense and midfiled, but there just aren’t that many good replacements available for a good price, i hope we don’t do this floccari bullshit for 9 mil that is ridiculous too.

I like this kid Candreva too. He got sent off against Turkey cuz he poked some Turk in the face after he got taken out. I like this kid’s attitude. He’s also a very quick, pacy player who I believe can play on the left or the middle. CHEEKY penalty too against Japan. I believe the Irish FSC announcer said “That is just cheek personified”

Sorry folks, I don’t mean to interrupt. I usually hang out at the Inter side of things but I have been watching Serie A for almost thirty years now and I am well versed in all of the… I think I’ll call them characters. I think that this is the funniest football related sarcasm I have read in quite a while:

“Plus, Zio Fester and Zampa agreeing on a deal - god knows how long that’s gonna take.”

Just saw this in the Gazzetta.
    http://www.gazzetta.it/Calcio/Calciomercato/Primo_Piano/2008/05_Maggio/27/amauri.shtml

It has a picture of Amauri and his wife. I know this is incredibly shallow of me, but he is punching well below the standard of the Serie A WAGS.
