Lazy Wednesday Afternoon

By: Steven | November 14th, 2007

So, what to talk about? The Azzurri are preparing to kick some Scottish arse, the Lega Calcio is still thinking about what to do after the riots this weekend, Juventus is calling Zamparini ten times a day to ask him to throw the game in exchange for two Fiat Bravo’s and a brand new New Holland tractor…what or who could possibly be able to get rid of the boredom? Who else than Mariano Grimaldi!!! “Mariano Who?” Well boys and girls, Mariano Grimaldi is a part of the group of the lowest creatures on planet Earth. The man is a player agent. Of none other than…

Amauuuuuuuuuuuuuuuriiiiiiiii

Even people without a lot of intelligence will get the point: ‘Amauri will be leaving in January.’ Seriously, I’ve had it with this guy Grimaldi. Last year, when Amauri hadn’t played for 6 months, he was telling the world that Liverpool AND Chelsea were after his client. In September, he added Juventus, Milan, Inter, Manchester Shitty, Lyon and Olympiakos to that list. And now “Amauri’s name is on everyone’s lips”. And the crap continues: “He would love to play in the Champions League, but he’ll always have some Pink and Black in his heart.” Zip it man, or i’ll have a lot of pink with blue veins for your ass. Can you believe this? I can imagine agents trying to sell their players to get a bit of that sweet, sweet transfer money for themselves, but this is getting rediculous. If i’d be Amauri, I’d capoeira Grimaldi’s ass off to Far Far Away. Personally, I don’t think he’s leaving. I think he’s afraid of Zamparini.

Talking about Zamparini, he said something intelligent this morning. Hell didn’t freeze over, kids, he really did. So what did he say? Let’s see:

* “Brienza will definitely stay in January. He’s a big asset to the team.”
* “Fontana is playing fantastic, to my surprise. I’d love to get Amelia, but right now i’m sticking with Fontana.”
* “In January, Agliardi will have to go and play somewhere else.”

Let’s summarize: yeeeeeeeeeeey! Brienza’s staying, there might be a bid for Amelia and…Agliardi is going! Finally. If i was the big man behind the team, i would have fired his ass after sucking away against Sampdoria last year. Bring on the Amelia!

Steven, you’re just trying to see how worked up you can get Roberto and Sofia, aren’t you?

And “about damn time!” to Agliardi leaving.

Marco, how do you see his future? Because i can’t see him staying at Livorno for the rest of his career…

I agree , I can’t see Marco Amelia gracing the Amaranto colours for another season.Lucarelli left and Amelia is in no way a Bandiera. Livorno will never be a contender and Amelia needs to move on

Altough the fact that he has been seeing so many shots for the past years has surely bettered his game.

And he’s one of the only Livorno players Spinelli could seriously cash in on.

But for no logical reason whatsoever, i don’t see him going to Palermo. I think he’s had enough with the crazy Presidents.

Am I the only one who’s tired of these Amelia rumours?
Every year it is tug of war with this kid. How about Sereni? Castellazzi? Ele?? What would you guys suggest?

HAHA! I thought I was the only one who thought that…He just shrugs his shoulders and makes this hilarious one and I can’t help but laugh uncontrollably.

I would like to see Amelia come next summer but if he doesn’t I wouldn’t care. Amelia is gonna probably cost a lot…plus there’s no use for him while Fontana is here. I’d rather give Barzagli and Amauri pay raises to try and persuade them to stay. We definitely need a LB before any other position. let’s sell Bresciano and steal Juan Vargas.

I can’t wait for the Juve – Palermo game as well. The Napoli performance was so uplifting that it’s easy to get excited about this upcoming challenge.

I had been a Brienza critic for a long time – like alot of other tifosi – however, what I saw against Napoli was the player from Serie B & 1st year of A. He created and frustrated Napoli defenders the whole game. I think we can definitely use him in the starting 11.

As for Juve, alot can be said of their forwards, obviously, but I think if the Palermo midfield can hold their ground, our boys up top will do the rest.

    FORZA PALERMO E BASTA!

    Ricci –

Yup! You caught me! I’ve actually considered writing for this blog before, but I believe Steven has it pretty well under wraps and he’s doing an excellent job. In any case, I had been visiting this site on and off for a while.

It’s great to see die-hard Palermo fans with a deep interested in the team day-in and day-out.

    FORZA PALERMOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
