It’s The Final Countdown
By: Steven | March 4th, 2008The reign of Guido will end at the end of the year, so who would you guys like to be coaching Palermo next year? I think we all would like to see Spalletti or Ranieri at the helm, but we know that won’t be happening. Myself, I’d like to see Gasperini because he has done great stuff in Genoa, but I still went for Cosmi. I love the man.

Oh yeah, I forgot to add a goalie and a decent coach on that list.

I forgot that we still had Dellafiore. He’s having a pretty decent season and can play RB as well too. We definitely need to get him back here ASAP.
Borriello is gonna be expensive, Genoa want 15m for their piece of Co-ownership. I honestly dont think he’s worth it. He’s a good player but to think tht we would have to spend upwards of 30 mil to own him outright is pretty ridiculous. He could be another Gilardino who can perform well for a season or two and then completely lose it. When Cagliari get sent down maybe we can get an Acquafresca or bring Graizano Pelle’s ass back to Italy. I think these guys have more potential than Borriello and would come a lot cheaper.

Oh yeh, I’d also love Cigarini but I think we’d have some stiff competition from Inter, Juve and Milan. 15m should be enough for him though.

I’d love to see Bovo return in the CB-position, but we could trade the rest of his cartellino + some moneys for Borriello.
For the rest: De Sanctis from Sevilla, the return of Dellafiore, Andrea Pisanu and Mirko Vucinic.

Pelle, pfff…don’t think he’ll ever be top 5-material.

I dont know Ricci, I like Borriello.. that is a stiff price though

Oh yeah, like Ive been saying, loan out Cavani and get him some time to develop. We dont have the time nor the patience

True. And let’s face it, he’s not as talented as people said he was.

i think Mario Balotelli would be a good buy from inter
he also is a palermo born nativePosted from

Gio, I like that too…
i wish we would have picked up calaio at the window as well…he could have came alot cheaper than he would in the summer

How ’bout a Barzagli for Balotelli+$ deal?

Balotelli is gonna cost a fortune.
Haha, c’mon Steven! Pelle is great! YOU SEE THAT CUCCHIAIO AGAINST PORTUGAL????

Yeah Calaio woulda been a great buy. Guy can just score buckets and buckets of goals in the right system. Palermo native too, but I think he’ll be here someday.
Pisanu is a great player. I think he just re-upped with Parma so that’ll up his price a little too, but I think he’s worth it.
Vucinic is a beast. Guy absolutely made Real Madrid look like shit yesterday. He’s had a few good games in a row now and I would love to see him here.
We fucked up Cavani by playing him out of position and not giving him the time he needs. He’s a monster for his NT but at Palermo he only gets played on the wing, as a suporting striker or when Amauri is supsended. Loan him out now to someone like Chievo who will be in Serie A next year so he can start every game for them. He can still be a monster in the similar style of a Vucinic in due time.

De Sactis is a good goalie but I actually prefer Matteo Sereni. This guy has had an unbelievable season so far.

Sereni also defniitely has the best faux-hawk in Serie A, so that’s a plus.

Ricci, I used to love Pelle as well, but these days I watch almost every game he plays with AZ…trust me…he sucks more ass than all of the Roma Offside combined.

Steven,Ca c’était bas !
What you guys forgot about Amelia now ?
you should totallly take Camolese and Amelia from Livorno.
and Borriello is officially the Fabio Quagliarella of the 2007/2008 season.

Marco, from what I’ve seen this year, Sereni is just as good as - if not better than, your Amelia. I think Sereni deserves a spot in NT alongside Amelia and Gigi the Great. Besides, there would be less competition for Sereni or De Sanctis and they would come cheaper too. And I thought Amelia is all set to join Tottenham this summer, no?

I’ll take Amelia for sure but Spinelli is just out of his fucking mind, can’t decide if he wants to sell him or sit on his ass with that goofy white scarf.

How long have we been haggling over him with Spinelli? 2 years now, right?
Posted from

Yeh it’s been a few seasons. We always negotiate, meet his asking price and then he says that Amelia will stay. He’s a few eggs short of a dozen to say the least

I think if Corini has a year left in the tank we need to bring his ass to palermo and let him retire the way he was supposed to….I doubt toro signed him for more than a year right ? (this is where he went yeah? or is reggina….

giuseppi, it is Toro, but him coming back to palermo will NEVER happen. Zampa has too much pride (or stubborness) to ever admit he made a mistake.
But hell yes, he deserves to be retired in the pink kit!Posted from

i just saw the highlights of the palermo juve game a while back when we got fucked up 5-0
we better play a quality game against them at home and fuck them up they are looking pretty shaky lately, not that we arent but i think everybody is ,except Fiorentina and Roma.
They are the only squads right now that are looking pretty solid.Posted from

Beat Juve? Don’t get any false hope up, with Guido’s 9-0-1 it’s just not gonna happen mate.
