It’s Crazy Zampa-time, and Some Good News as well.
By: Steven | January 21st, 2008As Martha already said, Zampa has gone crazy again. And we all love it when he goes crazy, don’t we?
According to Capt’n Crazy, Guidolin is not to blame for the recent lack of wins and above average performances. It’s all the fault of the players. In the article that was posted on ControCampo (not the world’s most neutral website), Zampa launched an attack on Barzagli, Bresciano, Simplicio and Migliaccio.
Il Bresciano di quest’anno, per esempio, è irriconoscibile. Come Simplicio, che prima di Natale giocava in un modo e ora in un altro. Stesso discorso per Migliaccio.
I can’t really blame him for saying that, but I don’t understand why he decides to go after Simplicia and Migliaccio, and not after Guana. The first two have been playing well before the winter break, but I haven’t seen a single good Guana-match all year. Bresciano, yeah, that’s a clear one.
Zampa’s right, but it’s incredibly strange that he’s not going after Guidolin. I mean, the man has undoubtedly made some terrible calls, and he seems to have lost his magic touch. According to Stadionews, there have been phonecalls between Zampa and Colantuono, but the Big Boss denies such things have happened. I won’t be surprised if Colantuono’s back in charge by the time we face Milan again. And honestly, I wouldn’t even mind.
On a more positive note: the Tulio De Melo-battle seems to have ended. As Francesco mentioned earlier, De Melo had signed a pre-contract with both Parma and Palermo. But, unlike those two retarded leper colonies up North during the Suazo-thing, both Palermo and Parma were civilized enough to work things out without calling eachother names. At least that’s what Stadionews is saying:
Palermo e Parma hanno trovato l’accordo per il centravanti Tullio De Melo.
Nei giorni scorsi entrambe le società avevano depositato in Lega un precontratto firmato dal brasiliano, ma un colloquio tra Zamparini e Ghirardi ha risolto tutto. L’accordo verrà ufficializzato dopo che Foschi definirà gli ultimi dettagli con il collega Zamagna. Successivamente il Parma ritirerà il proprio precontratto.
And even more news: it looks like Marco Amelia is almost our. Yeah, yeah, about 15 teams have used that line the last 1.5 years, but now we’re really closing in. Livorno wants 11 million, Zampa is willing to give them 8 and Jankovic on loan. I say we do it. We really need a keeper (there’s no way I’m risking one more Agliardi-game), and Jankovic isn’t getting any playtime. If we want to keep him in the future, we need to loan him out, because Guido’s not gonna play him as long as Guana’s running around in Palermo. In June we’ll get him back, and next year he’ll have enough experience to become a killer.
We’ll see what happens in the next couple of days…

Hope this one goes through. We could def use Amelia with all the shots our terrible defense sees. He played unbelievable yesterday against Empoli. 2 or 3 world class saves.
I was just thinking about something. Against Udinese our defense didn’t play too bad…and who wasn’t playing? BARZAGLI and BIAVA! Rinaudo played too…Guidolin give the kid a fucking chance. He’s like 6′5 and a great defender. The rest of our defenders just have no positional sense, same goes for our “holding” midfielder Guana. Guana makes his “storming” runs into the opponent’s half and I want to throw up. You would never see Makelele or Corini getting that far forward. I hate Guana. The only counter attacks he starts are for the other team when he passes it right to the opposing forwards.

I think this Palermo and Parma deal has a back story. Maybe Palermo will give Parma a player (Aimo Diana could be one) either this transfer window or in the summer.

I am sick to death of this Janković rubbish! The kid is quality and it is a bloody pity Guidolin won’t touch him. If we can send him out on loan where he will get a bit more experience then I say do it. (But really, I don’t think he needs it. He is more than capable of filling in for some of the uselessness that makes up our starting 11 at the moment.)

Don’t forget the other possible good news coming out the Palermo camp. Zampa said he’ll be speakin with Cellino about Foggia’s arrival (perhaps imminent?) to Palermo…Let’s hope he can bring a quality midfielder (ahem, Foggia) to the Rosanero!

KJ - I saw that too. I’m truly happy for Brienza. Rightfully getting the playing time he deserves…AND scoring in his debut.
Ciao Ciccio! UNO DI NOI!!!

Francesco, I believe something like that too. I hope you guys take Aimo from our hands…
And KJ: lol…

Can’t we let them have the Brazilian kid and get their player for compensation instead? Cigarini or Dessena anyone?
Wandering too far off is pretty much universal problem regarding our MFs. Besides, I’ve never thought of Guana as a true holding.

Yeah, real people realize he’s not a holding midfielder. He’s just a bad midfielder.
