It’s A Sad Day

By: Steven | September 1st, 2008

And it has been a very sad week, for everyone who has a rosanero heart. I think I don’t need to review the Udinese-game, as we all saw what happened and there are way bigger concerns today. Last day of the mercato, and we loan out our biggest talent to a direct opposition and we make the deal of the summer by signing a C1-striker, just because he scored twice against us in a Coppa-match. I don’t even know how to pronounce his name. I hope it sounds like ‘Soesjie’ and not like the other thing I was thinking.

Ugly! Mother! Fucker!

So, time for our new weekly thingie: the Androberto Guaracciolo Award. The AGA goes to the most stupid, the most violent and the most retarded player/coach/team of the giornata. And the Androberto Guaracciolo Award for Giornata 1 goes to:

and

Do I need to explain anything? Didn’t think so…see you guys later this week.

Miiiinchia! Never a dull moment with Zamp at the helm…NEXT!!!

Geez, he considered the move for a whole two days - such a patient man : )

“The responsibility for the decision regarding Colantuono was all mine,” the temperamental President told Il Giornale.

“My sporting director and chief executive only found out about it this morning and they weren’t too pleased.

“However, I make the decisions here and I made my mind up last night after two days of thinking about it.

‘”After the game in Udine we had a meeting and what I heard just didn’t convince me.

“I felt I couldn’t trust the Coach and technical staff and certain people just added to the pressure. I didn’t feel that the squad was stable,” he concluded.

zampa can only be compared to stalin, a dictator, paranoid and a complete ego maniac hes fucked up palermo for the last time i think the tifosi in palermo wont stand for this

this season has gone from being an exciting and potentially brilliant one to where im dreading it he has truly spoilt everything and a couple of my mates in palermo say that they wont stand for it. zampa just enjoys the power he thinks he created palermo and now thinks he can do what he wants well its been around since 1900 zampa and its going to be around a long time after you have gone you mental cunt!

maybe colantuono isnt the right man for the job but we need a manager that will kick them all into shape. im not so sure of ballardini but if he kept cagliari up then he must know something because they are shit. if everything goes fine and we are in or around 10th place by january and get nilmar we will be ok. but im still pissed about zampa loaning out jankovic and if they eventually sell him it will be a huge mistake he was unreal at mallorca and he should be the 3rd name on our team sheet after amelia and miccoli

Maybe Zampa knows were in for a relegation battle that is why he hired Ballardini a proven warrior in that situation.

I never liked Colantuono. He fails to manage the game properly in terms of formations and subs. Also, our players are so out of shape. His training regimen has gotta be shit.

I totally agree ricci we did not have the players for a 433 and they looked very unorganized. Let’s hope this coach can surprise us all and stay for a while which is hard for us.

Judging from his interviews Ballardini seems a pretty intelligent type, even if he speaks at speed of Broca’s aphasia patient. Got an overall good impression. He’ll make us stay in A for sure so at this point yeah I’d say he’s the right for the job. If he did it with Cagliari, he can do it with Palermo too. Now only if they’d shoot the maniac in the president’s seat regularly with sedetive to make the coach work in peace..

Look at it this way, Colantuono must be getting a lot of nice severance packages. I wonder if Zampa has a consolidation plan?

When you have a president with a permanent PMS, it is a problem. It is tough to work in such an invironment. The good thing is that Palermo is no serie B material. Even if they “try to make it”, they would fail in the relegation.
