International Break Equals George Michael

By: Steven | October 9th, 2008

Why? Because they both suck balls.

No, really, I like the Azzurri as much as any other guy, but nothing’s better than Serie A football. Playing in a godforgotten hellhole like Bulgaria, where people still use woodchips too cover their crap and sell their sister for two pints of beer without foam (yeah, that’s right, American beer = gay), or Montenegro, which has a) Mirko Vucinic, b) nice beaches, c) one car per 1.254 inhabitants, isn’t really my idea of a great football match. I’d rather whoop some Juve or Roma-ass every week instead of dealing with guys like Dimitar Berbatov or Sukka Mydickov.

So, because our B-Azzurri-squad will be competing Saturday and Wednesday (with Marco between the posts), maybe we can already start preparing for the Massacre at the Massimino?

Marco’s already pooping his pants at the sight of Catanese throwing flares in his direction:

“We know how it could end and maybe it is too early to play without any limitations for the fans.”

In other news, two bald Palermitano have signed a contract extension. No, not Guana and Bresciano. Miggy and God have commited to a new contract, which is A-OK.

And to start things of in a good way:

I am very thankful that Levan scored us that winning goal but i do not think he is anywhere near the answer that we need. I hope we get a real foward in january and loan him out for some experience. We need a viable alternative to Cavani and someone who can fill in for Miccoli when he is injured. Obviously the coach does not think that Lanzafame is ready adn i don’t think Levan is ready either for that responsibility. Lets pick up Diamanti and Nilmar in January.

i played it and could no believe palermo had no sponsor but it is ok game. the only reason i play fifa is because last pro evo was so bad! but they have a thing where you can download a players form every week so they are as good as they are in real life which is good! i believe if we got guilherme and defour or pulzetti/diamanti we can keep pushing top four our defence is so good

new fifa is shocking. Its all about “be a pro” about controlling the one player and not the team. and the first touch is SHOCKING. Pes 2009 is the game for this season. And palermo and miccoli are shit on new fifa, its an offence.

Number one priority this winter mercato is an AM since we’ve got no valid backup for Simplicio. A Pulzetti would do, I think. And FFS enuff with the strikers! We ain’t Moratti’s Inter.

still so depressed by what happenned in this match two yrs ago. rosanero heading for chmapions league, rossazzuro for a top-half finish, then the riot that sent both sides spiralling down the stretch. i understand the intensity (it is a derby match) but as someone who has spent a lot of time near both palermo and catania, i’ve always wished there was more of a “sicilia siamo noi” undercurrent to this game. let’s just pray that with both clubs doing as well as they are now that tensions don’t produce as bad of results as they did two yrs ago..

Kind of agree with that Colin. I wish we still had Messina up in A with us. We need as many Sicilian teams as possible in the top flight.

Kat, I can’t believe the ridiculous price we paid for him either. Overpaying for Nilmar is one thing…Raggi is pure shit.

Ricci, Lorenzo that is pretty hood here in the states.

On the old topic I just bought PS3 and FIFA 09. I actually bought the PS3 this weekend so i borrowed the my friends 08 and 09 blows it out of the water. Also EA has a weekly tracker to update players which is sick. Miccoli is a 85, Amelia is a 84, Liverani 84(somehow) and Moris is one of the best defenders in Serie A with and 84!!

Everyone’s favorite Andrea Barzagli, I thought you guys would appreciate it.

“They style of play in Germany is more spectacular than it is in Italy,” he told the Bundesliga’s official website. “For one thing there are more goals than there are in Serie A because it is rare for a game in Italy to end 5-4 or 4-2. “Italian football is very tactical. The small teams almost always set out to defend instead of launching attacks themselves.

So basically, it’s cool if he concedes 2-3 goals per game and doesn’t have to do his job. He hit his fuckin money job.
