Goddamn Wordpress

By: Steven | May 22nd, 2008

So, I had this nice thing made where I evaluated every player…and then this stupid Wordpress-thing decides to go loco and erase everything I wrote. I’ll make it up with some transfer-rumours then…

* Ah, Mariano Grimaldi…what would a week be without his lunacy? Amauri should just fire his dildo-manager.

* The Marco Amelia-story might finally come to an end very soon. TMW says we’re close to signing the Azzurri-back-up, and that would be a relieve. Federico Agliardi, we wish you all the best for Serie B!

* The Liverani transfer could be decided by Saturday. Palermo have given the Florentine 48 hours to make a decission on his 3-year, 850.000 euros a year contract. He might be the guy to give something extra to the midfield, but I still don’t like him.

* We’re also still fishing in the Atalanta-pond. After Ferreira Pinto and Damian Tissone, it looks like we’re also after Marco Materazzi II, A.K.A. Moris Carozzieri. Too bad Udinese and Napoli are after him as well. I’d love to see him tear up some attackers at the Barbera next season.

* The Budan-transfer, just like the Liverani-one, might be close to happening. The Croatian is soon off to preparing EURO 2008 with his team, and Foschi would like to close the deal before that.

Carrozzieri in pink, damn, he’s gonna eat people alive. Him and Rinaudo together…if i were an opposing striker, i’d shit myself

Eh I’m not too excited about Carrozzieri. From what I’ve heard, he’s slow and dumb. Retrieval of HDF and Bovo + Raggi would do for me.

I’m not feelin Bovo, really. Dellafiore, yes. Raggi, yes. I got no qualms with Carrozzieri either.

Better than Amauri..Wonder how many years would it take before that happens.
Sending Cavani out on loan seems a sane decision to me, although Lazio probably won’t be an ideal choice. With De Melo, Budan, Floccari and Lanzafame arriving, how many chances will he have next year? The kid needs intensive refining in almost every area and we simply can’t provide him with that. Right now he’s a Caracciolo with Ibra’s ego.

are we really getting floccari, guy aint that good. i hope it doesn’t stop us from getting Budan. loan out Cavani asap to Reggina or something.

Cavani doesn’t really need refinement IMO. He’s just not a winger. Also that Crapacciolo comparison was unwaranted. Cavani can shoot with both feet and has tons of pace. Caracciolo can’t even dribble twice with his right foot.

Anyone remember last season when we were up 2-0 on Inter? Well we brought on Cavani in the 2nd half and he looked really good. He was up front by himself and every time he got the ball he ran by an Inter defender. IMO he just needs to learn how to hold the ball up better and distribute to team mates. He learns that and he’s a Serie A gem. ALso big reason of him sucking is our midfield and entire team sucking. Once we get a midfield that can play the ball around without looking like 5th graders, our forwards and wingers will feel less pressure and we can start to play some Calcio.

For the latter half of the season, Cavani consistently sucked - whether he was playing as winger, seconda punta, or centravanti. And as long as he is forced to play out of position, he will only get worse.

i dont think cavani has an ego at all…he had a rough year, consider it his sophomore slump. i like the kid and think that the jury is still out to determine how good or bad he is. he’s very young…he’s got a season and a half of Serie A experience under his belt. This upcoming year will be a test.

Colin - Budan is a done deal pretty much. As for this Floccari stuff, I don’t think it’s anywhere near being official…and I hope it isn’t. Much rather have either Pinto or Carrozzieri from Atalanta…and I don’t want Palermo to be Atalanta 2. Like Torino is Palermo 2.

yah I’m with you Giro…whenever Amauri was out Cavani seemed to play ok. Except for the last game of the season where he was bad. Other than he filled in ok for Amauri and chipped in with 5 goals. He also has a vicious right foot on him and he will only continue to get better. Big mistake to give up on a player at only 21. Amauri was nobody when he was 21. At 27 he’s world class.

OK…time for me to freak out again!

So, stadionews is saying that we’re very close to getting Floccari and Liverani. Now, I said I wasn’t too excited about either of the two guys…

HOWEVER, Atalanta is asking for 9 million for Floccari… Palermo isn’t going to pay that but they can cut down the price by including….GUANA. Yes, that’s the name that can be inserted into the equation. ROBERTO GUANA. THAT guy….HIM! YES! PLEASE! Take him away!!!!!!

On the Liverani front, la viola offered him a one year contract worth 900k for the season, but apparently he’s more inclined to taking Palermo’s offer of 850k for 3 seasons…eh. still got mixed feelings about that one.

Tuesday will be the decisive day for Barzagli. Both clubs have reached an agreement, but Barzagli wants about 300k more than what Fiore-merda’s offering him.

Tomorrow, Foschi will meet with Abbiati’s agent to see if we can bring him in rosanero.

Big week for Palermo guys…let’s hope we can say it’s the last time we’ll deal with Guana in rosanero!

Giro depends on the contract we sign. Bari has it in their contract they can buy him for 700,000 euros, they could buy him and sell him and make a huge profit. Nice of them not to, though. I’m assuming given his recent explosion we aren’t gonna write that into the contract, but who knows.

I didn’t realize you guys were the leakiest defense of those surviving in Serie A…doesn’t say much for Zaccardo or Barzagli, but even moreso speaks for your offense.

alessio - why do you think that we don’t mind getting rid of Zaccardo and Barzagli??? And, actually, it speaks more volumes for AMAURI than our offense…lol

Lanzafame diced up the US today for the Azzurrini…I know that’s not saying much, but still…nice to see him playing out there. And Nocerino…man, what an upgrade from Guana.

Atalanta must think they’re buying a new version of Migliaccio, but instead of the V8 they’re getting the two-take engine.

Alessio, good to see you around so much lately.

Floccari is an ok player, I’d just rather we chase Langella or someone who is a little more talented. We’re paying 9m for a player that we will already have in Igor Budan.
