Chi Non Salta E’ Catanese!
By: lorenzo | April 9th, 2008Steven will be posting a preview for this weekend’s upcoming derby in the near future. In the mean time, I thought it’d be nice to get ourselves a little more “emotionally” prepared for the match ahead against the ugly cousins from across the island…
So, enjoy the photos and videos below!
Right after our promotion, what’s the best way to celebrate? Um…rub it in the faces of the Catanese of course!
This pretty much sums up what happens when Catania plays at the Barbera…
Who doesn’t miss Il Genio?
Nor can we forget the drubbing we laid on Catania with some old familiar guys at the Palermo helm:
PALERMO 5 - Catania 0
Finally, with the derby meaning much to Palermo, it also has special meaning to Nonno Tedesco (who just renewed his contract for next year), Leandro Rinaudo (gotta love the kid) and Bikerman Caserta!
Here’s what I expect to happen after the game with the Curva chanting down on those dirty Catanese:
Ole’ Ole’ Ole’ Ole’ ROSA NERO!!!

This is the game of the year. No doubt about it. And we need to reclaim the Sicilian title after what happened last time.
Lorenzo, where did you get that photo with the old bunch?

Anytime I see a picture of those hillbillies brothers (and father-son?), I always get creeped out in the worst way.
I’ve had that palermofuckscatania pic up on my wallpaper since monday morning, computer and blackberry, always good for odd questions.

Definitely game of the season, Steven. You’re right.
I got the pic from a Palermo fan site…I can’t remember which one though. When I do remember, I’ll let you know. That was just one of many of the pictures they had…

ricci, I’m terribly sorry to break your heart, but Simplicio has to miss this one due to slight injury so we’ll be seeing Guana (perfectly healthy) again.

If Palermo had been playing ricci’s lineup all season, we’d be fighting for a Champion’s League spot right now instead of worrying about relegation. That lineup is fantastic! And why couldn’t Guana have gotten like a Grade 5 concussion??????
