Calm before the storm….

The most exciting signing thus far for Palermo was that of Serbian international Bosko Jankovic of RCD Mallorca, Jankovic plays either striker or attacking midfielder so he definitely will work out on the pitch. He was Mallorca’s leading goal scorer last season with nine goals in 28 appearances, and has made 10 goals in 28 international caps. NOT BAD. 32-35% goal scoring probability. I can handle that…
Palermo have definitely been making some bold moves lately, I could go into further detail but Martha over at the Italy offside has definitely listed everything. If your not reading that one, I suggest you do so-nearly not a notch of Serie A action goes unnoticed. As far as Palermo updates, it just won’t seem to go away
Perhaps Barzagli is not going anywhere
Now, I really didn’t want to say it aloud, for fear of jinxing it completely, but it keeps coming back up that Barzagli may just stay at Palermo. Zamparini also said, that if Barzagli stays he will also become the new captain. I do like Amauri a lot, but I def. prefer to see Barzagli with the captain’s band. I figure Amauri played for Palermo for one season, and he was injured half the time.
We’ve officially shaken off all of our dead striker weight. Corraciolo has gone in a co-ownership deal and despite Di Michele’s semi-fugitive status Zampa assures us a deal with Parma has been reached.
Palermo Striker, and one of my favorite up and comers, Edison Cavani notched a goal in Uragauy’s opener in the U20 World Cup.

I too would prefer to see Barzagli with the captain’s band if he stays, which I hope he does. I thought it was a little weird that they would give it to a guy who’s been with the club for 1 season and spent half that on the sidelines. And yay to the expulsion of the whiners. Carraciolo and Di Michele were only productive when they felt like being productive.
