welcome aboard, Steven. I know there’s a lot of rosanero fans that will look forward to seeing some updates. Even for a neutral like me, it’ll be cool.

Seriously, lets get the rosanero discussions up and going. We need to counter all those Amauri to Roma rumors, which are total crap.

What makes you think he’s going to the Prem? The Man City rumors? I could see if maybe they swapped Bianchi for Amauri, but otherwise I don’t see it happening. Shinawatra is probably going to have his fortune frozen by the Thai government since they still have a warrant out for his arrest. That’ll put a damper on Sven’s spending…

The Prem has the money, plain and simple.. Zampa is crazy, but not crazy enough to keep him in Serie A… He has no shot at Roma and if the Drogba rumors are true, not Milan either… Believe me, his agent has always stirred the pot trying to conjure up hype to increase value. I mean he publicly goes out and says, “Were meeting in Milan.” Talk about self-absorbed, this is what the tabloids are supposed to “figure out.” I don’t want him to leave, but Bianchi would lessen the blow for me.

I realize the Prem has the money, but if the team who is trying to buy him has its money frozen because their owner is supposed to be in jail, it might make it tough. I honestly don’t want to see him go, but if they get Bianchi and some additional cash, then it wouldn’t be so bad. Plus, I think it depends on this season too. If Palermo can squeak into the Champions League spots he’d be foolish to leave for a team (Man City) that doesn’t have a shot in hell of ever getting higher than the UEFA Cup.

I wouldn’t confine him to Man City.. Chelsea, Liverpool, and even Tottenham could persue him as well. I hate agents negotiating during the season. Honor your contract and help your team win. We want CL, not distractions. Rumors are meant for the offseason

    Hi Steven.

Good job on taking up the job. And thanks to you Kevin for all your past efforts.

We are out of the UEFA Cup, and I’m slightly pleased as it allows further concentration upon getting that CL spot!

We cannot afford to let this weekend against Udinese slip. I’m hoping Bresciano nets one too : )

Bianchi isn’t really the kind of player I’d want in return for Amauri. He kind of reminds me of Pippo. Right time/right place kinda guy, and sometimes the luck just runs out. I would take a broken Bojinov before Amauri. At least Bojinov creates his own opportunities.

I don’t think Man Shitty will be letting go Bojinov as easy as they want to let go Bianchi. Bianchi had a great season last year, but now he’s having the Francesco Tavano-problem: one year of experience isn’t gonna cut in the Premier League or the Primera Division. How do you guys feel about a trade Amauri - Vucinic + money? Should we let our superstar go away, to get a promising (but not full-grown) youth product and a big bag of Sensi-cash in return?

I would take Mirko and cash for Amauri, although I would be weary to keep him in Serie A. I don’t want a Toni redux. I’d prefer if they were going to move him, that it would be to Spain or England.

I would doubt Amauri will go anywhere, he’s the only consistant forward, Colontuano has been swapping Cavani and Miccoli back and forth all season, I don’t doubt theres a chance he’d go-but not until next season, and even then I think it’s a stretch. I find it similar to the situation with Barzagli last summer
