Back To Business

So, we got the fuck smacked down on monday. Time to return to the news of the day, the news that is Palermo.

* We all love Edgar Cani, but we all agree the kid needs some first-team experience to make sure he keeps on making progress. He’s not gonna get it in Palermo, so enter Modena. The Balsamico Boys want to rent both Cani and Di Matteo for a year. Something like this would be nice for them, for us, and Modena. A win-win-win situation.

* Edison Cavani is calcio’s favourite virgin of the moment. Lazio and Napoli already stated they want the Uruguayan Underperformer, and now West Ham (do you know them, Davide?) also claimed they want the striker. Unlike Lazio, West Ham wants to pay the kid his million dollar wage and are agreeing to get him on loan with a possibility to buy him afterwards. Can you say ‘Whore’?

* Bikerman Caserta is going nowhere. Great news. Just look at how cute he can be. What a way to fall out of character, Fabio!

* Federico Agliardi said he’s leaving Palermo. Guess what boy, we already knew. Ol’ Butterfingers is moving to either Livorno or Bologna. Ciao!

It’d be a shame to see Miccoli go, I could be wrong, but he seems to have good chemistry with the team, and with all the new players, we could use someone who helps the everyone gel.

actually i really like Miccoli too, he was a great supersub and when given the chance and when he was fit he helped dictate play and scored some really nice clutch goals. don’t know how he will fit into the system next year htough being we have bought Lanzafame, De Melo, Floccari and will get Budan too probably.

Oh, and I’d rock a Miccoli jersey till I die. With that goal against Milan last fall, he’d have to say something bad about my Ma for me to do otherwise.

bovo is better than biava. budan is top notch. still think we need more flair in midfield, more creativity, maybe a vannuchi or foggia??? we have no left side (caserta isnt that good) starting line up so far?
    Amelia
    Cassani, Raggi, Kjaer, Balzaretti
    Jankovic, Liverani, Miggs, Nocerino, Caserta
    Miccoli/cavani/budan/floccari/lanzafame

surely jankovic behind 2 strikers? like behind de melo and miccoli or miccoli and budan? miccolis pace/technique next to budans strength. i think nocerino is gonna be awesome, i cant wait to see the kid play.

I dont think Cassani is a better then Raggi or Bovo. I think he is a good sub or back up for now. That goal was a screamer by the way but it was his first ever! I think Miccoli should play more of a creative mid/forward role. Distribute and Attack. His passing is probably the best on our team and so is his free kicks. De Melo, Budan and Jankovic will give fits to opposing defenses. We still have Simplicio coming off the bench which might motivate him to taking his job seriously.

I want to see this formation next year…..

    ——————Amelia

    Cassani—–Raggi—–Bovo—Balzaretti

    ———-Nocerino–Migliaccio

    Jankovic———————Lanzafame
    —————Miccoli
    ————De Melo

    could be fearsome.
