Atalanta - Palermo: The Shite Seems To Have Ended
By: Steven | December 18th, 2007
Another fine Sunday, last Sunday: Atalanta thought they were going to end 2007 without losing at home, but that was without taking Guido & His Wonder Boys taken into account. A sweet 1-3 victory over the Polenta People, and with Fiorentina only getting one point, even closer to a CL-spot.
Palermo won their very first Serie A-match in Bergamo since 1953, and we definitely had Amauri to thank for that. Always just a little better than all the rest, always a little faster, and a little more smiling. Things could’ve even ended a lot better, but Cavani and Miccoli fired some perfect opportunities over the crossbar. But that doesn’t matter in the end: another fantastic game, and the good old Guidolin-magic seems to be back. Tomorrow we’ll be meeting with Udinese for the Coppa, and next weekend there is…Lazio!

Ratings
Fontana 6.5: Another fine game.
Zaccardo 6: Did well defending things, but seems to get more and more insecure every week.
Biava 7: Kat, you were right: I AM too hard on him. One of the better players.
Barzagli 6.5: Our rock and our island in the defense. Did great.
Capuano 6.5: Another great game by ShitPants, seems a lot more confident than before.
Caserta 6.5: Calm match, but another good one. I love this dude!
Migliaccio 7: Had a foot in all the goals. Glad to have him back…
Guana 6.5: See Caserta, but without the love.
Amauri 7.5: He seems to have regained his shape of early last season. Zampa, please keep him?
Cavani 7: Is his talent finally coming to the surface? Nice!
Miccoli 7: He’s just fantastic as a trequartista. Superb force behind Amauri and Cavani.
