Guess what, Guana isn’t the ugliest Bald Guy in Palermo anymore. Andrea Raggi will bring new blood to the defense. The U21-international has signed a 4-year contract, and this is what he had to say:

“Grandi sensazioni, sono entusiasta di venire a Palermo.”

Eat that, Lanzafame.

yeah, Giro…that has come across the wire too…that makes me excited. if we get Acquafresca, that’d be huge. I’m banking that we will get Carrozzieri as well. I mean, Colantuono and him are best buds, we’re sending away Rinaudo (still gut-wrenching…), and he’s a big CB to fill that void.

So, we’re after one of 3 gk’s…either Amelia, Sereni, or a foreigner who hasn’t been named yet, according to Zampa. It’ll be interesting. Amelia is still my first choice. I don’t understand why we just don’t wrap up the deal already…I mean, Aldo & Maurizio are pals…so they should hammer something out. Give ‘em Agliardi + cash. Let’s get it done!

Surprise of the upcoming season according to Zampa? Kjaer…he said the kid is sick and will prove it this year…I’m already very excited for this upcoming season. Especially after hearing Liverani and Nocerino gush praises upon Palermo…

Let’s not get too carried away yet. We had a lot of hopes for last season as well.

Lorenzo, when will you be in Sicily? Not considering passing trough Belgium?

As it stands our CMs are Nocerino, Migliaccio, Simplicio and Liverani. That’s not too bad guys. For emergencies we can call on Tedesco but let’s hope it doesn’t get that far. I’m not including Guana because as of this moment I’m just gonna make believe he doesn’t exist. If we can nab a Pulzetti or Gasbarroni that would give us tons of options too.

I mimic Lorenzo’s thoughts exactly on our keeper situation. We’ve been trying to get one for 2 years, can we get it done soon please so we don’t have to rely on Agliardi?

Really excited to see Kjaer as well. Let’s hope he’s the next Daniel Agger and can replace the absolute disaster known as Andrea Barzagli.

Steven, I have some high hopes for this season. It’s hard not to get them cuz we have soo many changes. If you think about what kind of players we added last season we did very well. Balzaretti = excellent, Caserta = bikerlicious, Miccoli = uber talented, Migliaccio = eats midfielders for lunch.

Just read on TMW that we won’t be going for Diamanti or Pulzetti. Disappointing. If we can land Acquafresca that pretty much spells the end of Palermo for Cavani wouldn’t it?

According to C4, the Rinaudo-transfer is done. 7 million euros. It’s a shame to lose such a talented player…

Such a shame. Hopefully we have gained one in Kjaer, and I know Cossentino will come good but it still doesn’t lessen the blow. Palermitano too.

By the way guys, unless the source I’m reading is wrong, Lanzafame isn’t included in the Amauri deal, it was 22million euros for Amauri and 8million euros for Nocerino.

Lanzafame, along with Nocerino, has signed with us. It’s just that he’s still on loan in Bari so Juve and Bari will have to sort things out before completing Lanzafame’s move to Palermo. The acquisition will be officialized in the beginning of July.

although, i do think something is a bit weird regarding the whole Lanzafame deal. He wont be officially announced until July 1st, according to Foschi. he says it’s some bureaucratic nonsense they have to work out, but to me that says that Lanzafame has a month to let these wild rumors circulate about his final resting place…i guess we’ll have to wait and see or hear from Lanzafame himself.

KJ - Amauri deal is done, bro. And Nocerino is really excited about coming to Palermo. And we also got Liverani, btw.

Giro, Lorenzo, I’m not sure I am. All the official reports (not Channel4) say that Lanzafame is probably going to Palermo, but he wasn’t included in the deal.

“22.6 million Euros will go to Palermo, but the Sicilian Club will give Juventus 7.5 million Euros for Antonio Nocerino. “

And Zampa is planning on talking to Lotito over Cavani-Foggia-Behrami. Curious about what’s going to happen with that.

Barzagli infuriates me. Puts in a good performances for the blue shirt but sucks ass for the pink shirt. Good thing he’s gone, I couldn’t stand another year of his wishy washy captainship.

Err…Barzagli, good performance? He got owned by Fellaini on every single high ball. The only thing I saw was a guy who has the footballing skill of a 13-year old.

One of the C4-bloggers said it well:

“Barzagli followed his teammate Zaccardo to Wolfsburg after signing a contract in a car park in Coverciano, where Italy are training ahead of the European Championship. The 27-year-old defender, heavily linked with Fiorentina, snubbed the Viola’s offer of a five-year contract worth £1.2 a season for a £2.5m deal with the Germans spread over three years. Barzagli picked up the scent of money faster than a German Shepherd. But isn’t his job picking up strikers?”
