‘08 – ‘09, The Rollercoaster Season: Highs and Lows
By: Steven | May 27th, 2009Season’s over. And yes, I am aware of the fact that we still have a game against Samp left, but that doesn’t matter. There’s no more Europa League spot to be won or lost, we’re not Torino so we won’t be battling (hehe) to avoid relegation on the last day, and Cavani can’t become capocannoniere. Season’s over, and it will get pretty boring until the transfer market opens. Luckily, we can count on our good antipodean friend Rob, who posted his highs and lows of the season in the last topic. So all hail Rob, and give us your opinion on this season.
Highs:
1. Ballardini going from ‘Who the fuck?’ to Palermitano hero in just a couple of weeks.
2. Cavani’s breaktrough, not only scoring more goals than Amauri last year, but also outscoring him this season.
3. Juventus, Roma, Fiorentina, Milan: we manhandled them all.
4. The Diamond in the Rough that is Simon Kjaer. Serie A’s Most Wanted Defender, by both football teams and horny teenage girls.
5. The Favorità crowd.
Lows:
1. Zamparini and Sabatini, calcio’s own Dumb & Dumber.
2. Transfer policy. Letting go of Lanzafame, Jankovic and De Melo (remember him?), bringing in Savini, Raggi and Succi.
3. The Coppa Italia debacle, combined with another year without European football, thanks to an abominable away record.
4. 0/6 and a 0-6 goal record against Catania.
5. Moris Yayozzieri.

I had a feeling that was the case. Zampa always does that! He overreacts like a fucking child and goes to the media right away! I read an interview that Ballardini gave and he sounded like he really wanted this team to do well. Zampa is a fucking assclown.
yeah kat. I hear you on that. I’m so sick of Zampa’s shit and us constantly getting our hopes up only to get smashed down by the referee, the league, Moris’ drug habit, better teams and Zampa himself.
I think from now on I’ll just watch calcio for the pure beauty and genius players around the globe. I sure as shit won’t be waking up Sunday morning to watch Palermo with Delio fucking Rossi leading us next season.

Lemme make it clear my heart is 100% palermo and i still support my team with my all but i give up in expecting anything .. i will cheer us on losing 5-0 to inter next year and when we drop to serie b and when the tifosi string zampamerda up by his coglione. But i expect no happiness.

I cannot believe Balla is leaving!! I understand why I just am in utter disbelief.

If Balla was having some doubts on the matter, he certainly won’t have one now. In his interviews, Zampa sounded a lot more convinced of Balla’s departure than Balla himself.

Zampa was probably waiting for balla to say anything so he could make a big deal out of it.

LOL Same here mate.My heart still belongs to rosanero but I this will be my last time ever becoming a supporter of a non-major team. Yeh I rather be a glory-hunter. Alex how can you cope with supporting multi-squadrette? I now have a wholly new-found respect for you.

My take on how things went today:
(in the meeting) Zampa: Heyo Babe wassup? Listen, ’bout the mercato-plan this summer..
Balla: Urm, president? I dunno if I really wanna carry on with this and I need few days to think over stuff..
Z: (flips out) WHAT?!! You ingrate! How could you do this to me? I trusted you. (carries on to the pressroom) U nothing but a traitor! Mercenary!..so on, so on..
B: Man, screw this. Can’t take any more of this psycomaniac. Ciao caio-Although, I too find Balla wanting a dismissal rather than a contractual annulment perplexing ‘cuz then he’d still be bound to us, in direct contrary to Zampa’s assertion of Balla looking for a new club.

Just switch between them depending on how painful it is to watch them. Next year you could turn off and support say Catania, and then when they get relegated go back to Palermo.

HAHA @ kat. I think this is more appropriate though…http://www.wired.com/images_blogs/photos/uncategorized/2007/10/05/disaster.jpg

i could have picked better teams to support than boro and napoli i have to admit. although boro isnt a choice its a way of life!
you dont switch between them, they coexsist in a perfect state of harmony.
why would a palermo fan just start supporting catania alessio? it would be like you changing to inter or lecce? you support multi-squadrette no?Posted from

Zampa&Delio – How long before the divorce? I give 4 months at most.

3rd giornata Delio is gone. He then brings in Novellino who loses 6 games straight. Delio returns and we finish 14th. Someone write it down, that will happen.

Finishing 14th? Praise the Lord!

you cant get more opposite owners of a football club than steve gibson and zampa. southgate has had 3 seasons and has been utter shite culminating in relegation, still gibson wont sack him.
ballardini has done amazing but still zampa has a go at him. you would think zampa would learn from his mistakes

Zampa is like a dog or young child. Just acts off pure instincts, refuses to reason with anyone. If someone offends him by asking for more control he responds with a media tirade. fucking retard.

btw, just watched Bordeaux win the league and one of their best players is the midfielder “Fernando” we have showed interest in. He would be a huge signing for us. Wins a lot of challenges and is very smart with his distribution, also makes penetrating runs with the ball very well too.

Holy shit. Second disaster in two days time. I am so unbelievably tired of all of this…sometimes, I even wonder why i keep putting myself trough this week after week…

No doubt Delio Rossi is a gifted tactician, however as a team manager he’s pathetic like no other. Does any of his players actually like him?

no words

Wow, is it just me or does it seem like this summer’s game of musical coaches includes way more teams than normal? It is like a 1960s French farce.
So, with Delio Rossi going to Palermo and Zenga going to Lazio, does that mean that Ballardini will go to Catania?
Yikes

Asshole’s been talking again:
“In any case, no matter what the outcome, Rossi will not be our next Coach.”

You count on Zampa’s word?
Posted from

Indiscretions say our ormai ex-mister’s next stop could be Atalanta. ATALANTA. LOL Imagine that. It would be like the ultimate in-your-face to Zampa and his giant ego.

Hell no. I’ve had it with Zamparini.
