Random Tuesday Tidbits

First off, I’ll show that I can be emotional too: Ciccio, I miss you! You’ve been playing like a young buck in Reggio, and I’m asking if you would consider moving back across lo stretto. I know I’m not the only one asking this, so here you go: the official ‘Get Ciccio Brienza Back To Palermo’-facebook group. Please, come back?

Jimmy Fontana, 41 years old ladies and gentlemen, has been named ‘Palermo Player Of The Year 2007.’ Amauri came in third. Jimmy won, beating Giuseppe Biava. You know him, he’s the guy fans spat out this year. Incredible. People have been talking about gettin Jimmy to Euro 2008 as third goalie. Maybe Facebook can help us with that as well.

Today is Amauri meets Juventus-day. We probably won’t be reaching any agreements yet, but if the Fiat-guys throw in a good offer, we might enjoy it after all. Stadionews is talking about 10-12 million euri plus players like Marchisio, Giovinco, Lanzafame, Palladino and Nocerino. And talkin’ about Palladino, the Big Man himself would rather have Budan back: ‘”Abbiamo già preso De Melo, abbiamo Cavani e Miccoli. Palladino? No, non ci piace più da quando ha dichiarato che non vuole venire in Sicilia. Piuttosto, pensiamo a Budan.”

Zamparini has also stated that reachting the Intertoto is now an objective. Good, because two wins there could give us the UEFA-ticket we need. The only problem is the squad: Intertoto starts in july, so we will need a team of about 25 players to get this thing to work.

Ciao!

    Exactly Zampa…

If they don’t want to come to Sicily, we don’t want them anyway.

OH! for those on Facebook - i am friends with the REAL Bosko Jankovic! No joke, it’s really him - i was told this by Lorenzo Barbera (the nephew of the Renzo)!!! ADD HIM!!!

Yeah. They have agreed on a fee of 25 million euro, or 11 million plus one or more of the following: Giovinco, Marchionni, Criscito, Lanzafame and Nocerino.

Money + Giovinco or Criscito would be fuckin’ A.

I’d love to see Giovinco come to the Renzo, but how would he fit in with Miccoli? They’re just about the same player. I still think we should get him if Juve is offering, but it will be interesting to see how the two are juggled.

miccoli and giovinco can play together, put them both behind cavani or de melo or budan, thats a nice attack.

We wait all day and Zampa tells us is Juve is interested and they are meeting within a month. Giovinco can fill in for miccoli when he is injuried which means he will get major playing time, the guy is awesome but cant stay healthy. Edgar Cani is supposed to be the real deal I wanna see him in action. We should start building now so we can get a Champions League spot next season and its sad to say but we have a better chance with out Amauri because of his huge sale value.

we can get a really good young team together next year if we are smart with the money. Amauri is a great player but when his game is off we are just simply fucked because we have no plan B. Instead of having him as a lone foward next year we can play with two smart fast skilled fowards who if they can form a good partnership can be lethal especially when backed by wingers like jankovic, brienza or a man behind like giovinco and miccoli.

i think Marchisio would do well in Palermo, more than the others. And you’d have someone to replace Bobby Guana on the pitch
